    Monking and Macroing

Hi, folks! First time poster here. So I mainly play monk (because I love martial arts), and I'm wondering if my current buff Macro, which includes Foresight, Bloodbath, Featherfoot, and Internal Release being activated, in that order with a 1 sec wait between each one. I usually activate at the start of a boss fight, reactivating it when I have an opening after it cools down (I have Internal Release as my icon). Is this good? Or is it pretty awful?

I've heard no complaints from my fellow party members and it's worked good for me, but could it be BETTER? Any suggestions to improve it? Should I split these up between separate macros?

I play Bard as my main and they have a bunch of buffs they can apply. Mine adds all the buff actions in line right after each other but no wait time. I can hit the button once for my most used buff or hit it 4 or 5 times in between other skills and it will add all my buffs. If you are in a fight and use the wait command and use another skill at the same time a buff would apply i believe it would interrupt that buff macro. I also never apply before a fight, that is seconds wasted of a buff before a fight even starts (diff for tanking and healing buffs).

So it might help if I remove the wait time and instead push the button repeatedly to put on each buff within the macro manually?

    Yes.

(Speaking from experience with Bard) I know I have 4 damage/crit buffs on my mashable "buff button." As soon as I see the last one +up on the screen I'll start AOE spamming groups of mobs, or laying on the direct damage for DPS checks.

Sounds like good advice. I'll try it out. Thanks!

    NP.

As an alternative, you can press the aforementioned "buff button", then your desired skill, "buff button", then your desired skill... repeat till all your buffs are burned. This gives slightly more damage over 20-30 seconds but less if you want/need it all on that first couple of skills.

    Also, if you:
/micon "the last skill in that list of buffs"
you'll know when you've popped them all when the button timer starts.
