Bards were melee damage without melee range. Why would you want to bring anything else (apart maybe one mage for LB ?)

The amount of bards with battle high and battle fever makes me think the contrary

4 man dungeon without Caster and WHM
As I've already said, you're losing maybe 2 minutes in a dungeon that overgearing makes stupid easy and quick. Dungeons are balanced to last 35-45 minutes for a normally geared team. whatver the composition is. If you're expecting a 15 minutes run everytime, stop doing dungeons or do them only with competent players utterly overgeared.
3 Crystal Tower dungeons
again, +/- 5 minutes in an half an hour long dungeon. At this point it's totally irrelevant, especially considering that dps have nearly instant queues for Syrcus and WoD (compared to 5-30 minutes for tanks)
T1-T9
flat out nope. Bards aren't weak there. Being able to deal with all the mechanics while still performing perfect dps will never be a weakness. Tell me that again when melees/casters can maintain their dps while feeding in T1, passing rot between casters in T2, kite in T7 (pre nerf of course...), place meteor in T9, etc etc...
All EX-Primal except Shiva
I'd love an explanation on this, considering garuda is melee's bane, titan is everyone's bane, Ifrit has dps issues due to people overgearing it (hard enrage @10%), leviathan's phase skipping is an horror, and Ramuh's mechanics being more easily handled with a kiter (SMN can do it too eventually but still)
