DRG = WAR? :O
DRG = WAR? :O
Essentially. But rather than there be a permanent "stance" where it's relatively easy to generate stacks, you'll have to actually time when you're going to use Lancet to maximise damage output. On top of that, you'll have to be aware of your cooldowns and learn to manage them more efficiently, otherwise you'll never be able to generate stacks properly for Heavens Dive. There's only 3 GDC skills that actually generate Decimate Stacks, 1 oCD which is relatively easy to manage, but the other two are on extremely long cooldowns. High skill-cap to use as the timing of all of your abilities will have to be perfect to generate 5 Decimate Stacks within that 20s time frame.
no. Or nerf it. it's on GCD because it's spammable.
would be in line with the berseker aspect, but not much of a use imo
No. It would remove the skill ceiling and would require a damage nerf for the job.
Sorry to be "that" guy but these are just big "no-no" if you want to keep balance in this game. (except the WAR one but you wouldn't see it often enough to justify it as a trait)
Monk passive trait to PB add 5 sec to GL add 5% dmg to fire stance GLIV and adrenaline Rush which takes away cool downs if all combos. That's my wish.
I wish they changed Bard's AoE attacks a little, maybe put them in a 1-2-3 combo, because for now spamming Quick Nock is the best way to do AoE damage and makes Rain of Death and Wide Volley almost completely useless.
Thread
Thematically this has nothing to do with a Dragoon or Lancet. This is so far and away from what Lancet always is that it will never happen, and it seems silly that you would suggest this name for this ability.
Lancet absorbs HP, and at times MP or TP. Final Fantasy XI is the only game where you gained some sort of durational buff, but it still absorbed HP (and TP) from your Wyvern.
Besides that, why would a Dragoon gain something called "Decimate" and why would they get "Enraged". Its thematically off, and would never be taken seriously by SE.
Sorry, I just get annoyed when people offer up something as a balance change, or a new ability, but they ignore everything about the actual balance of the game or what the class/job is.
Monk:
Lightning Kata - applies 1 stack of GL. does not require a target and does not deal damage. On the GCD. Long recast.
@VanilleFang you must be fun
Who genuinely cares about naming conventions of skills and abilities? This isn't "name your new abilities lore" thread. This is a job tweaking thread.
Also about "enraging", Estinien in the level 50 job quest became "enraged" when he was used by the power of Nidhogg. He came engulfed in a blue flame. But that isn't within the boundaries of "what a class/job is", right? Pfft.
He was overwhelmed by the eye, in the same manner that Curious Gorge succumbed to his inner beast. Neither are good traits and really are not representative to what our characters have been doing (and infact the questline for warrior is about your character overcoming and controlling it...) And even then, having a permanent 25% crit rate is pretty damn ridiculous. And VanilleFang has a point with trying to keep the theme of FF in line. What if we had spells like Cure actually cure status aliments instead of healing hp? To anyone that doesn't play FF, it'd be fine, but it's pretty...weird otherwise to veterans of the franchise.
I understand that this is suppose to be a "fun thread" I guess? It's just that a good amount of these changes are outright overpowered or ridiculous, especially abolishing the damage penalty on paeon and ballad for bards.
