Quick Confirmation on Blue Flame Debuff (T12)

Besides running into red flames to get rid of the blue flame debuff, is there another way to lose it?

There were some instances that I would lose blue flame right before touching red flame, causing it to get its full effect.

I'm suspecting that its cause I stood to close to Phoenix while red flame was casting but I thought that absorption it does only applies IF blue flame was dropped near it.

If you are too close to the boss when he casts red fire, it will wipe the blue fire debuff off of you. Red fire can also cause the blue fire to evaporate off the ground, so it needs to be placed a ways away from the boss.

The way my group handles it, is by tanking phoenix against the northwest wall (instant death pillar appears directly north) and place the blue fire at the southern end of the central ring. Then, whoever gets the tether, just runs into the blue fire and triggers the explosion.

This, exactly. Need to make sure to give the boss a wide berth when going after the fire.

You can actually see the bluefire evaporating aoe when phoenix casts redfire, its about the same size as the bluefire puddle before it explodes.
