Deathbringer. It has a lot of lore behind the Dark Knights and has appeared in many, many Final Fantasy games.

Hmm, that could work. I just really like the sound of "Oblivion", it's such a good word. But I totally hear you, having nostalgia is also important, and there are certainly a ton of memorable and iconic Final Fantasy weapons that are still waiting to make it into the game!
Unfortunately the name "Oblivion" is already taken as the name of Shiva's theme, and I don't see them reusing the word for anything except content related to Shiva (at least while the content is still relatively recent). So I wouldn't hold out on it
