My character is level 41 and I can't post in the forums? That makes absolutely no sense.

First of all, how high do I want to level up Thaumaturge? A few people told me level 26 so I can get swifcast? Is there any need to level beyond 26?

Do I want to level any other classes for their cross class skills?

Do I want to level up to 50 playing Arcanist or Summoner? Summoner is working great so far, so I'm guessing it probably doesn't matter.

What is the reason for Ruin 2? It has exactly the same damage as Ruin and with the GCD it takes the same amount of time. Is there any reason to use Ruin 2 at all?

When in my rotation do I want to use Fester? Should I just use it anytime I have all my DoT's up and it's off cooldown?

Lastly, before I knew kinda what I was doing, I assigned a lot of points to INT but I used points elsewhere. Do I want to go and reset that and just dump everything in INT? If so, where do I go to reset the points?

If you want to actually play BLM, then you can keep leveling up thaumaturge. If you only want to play one class/job ever, then it doesn't matter.

Yes, always go for cross class. I don't play SMN but here's a guide I found.

Most of the time for solo stuff on the map, either class or job works. But for dungeons/raiding you definitely want to go in as your job since you get a stat boost.

Ruin 2 is instant cast, no cast time, just cooldown. Personally, as a scholar I only use it if I know healing isn't going to be needed. I prefer Ruin over Ruin 2 because it let's me interrupt the cast if I need to do some emergency healing (also mp cost is lower).

I hear SMNs want to use fester constantly. I believe you can look in the DPS board for SMN rotations.

Your stats should be fine, depends on how much you put into other stuff. Once you join a GC, they sell "The Keeper's Hymn" at the headquarters for seals. That will reset points.

That's a great SMN guide,methinks a bunch! I never knew they use archer.
