just keep doing the main story quests. youll slowly unlock more dungeons. the newer dungeons (keeper of the lake for example) actually give extremely good gear for a fresh level 50 (the gear is ilvl 100! ) but by the time you reach them you should have enough allagan tomestones of soldiery to get a good set of gear
just make sure you dont hit the cap or you wont gain anymore! you can spend them at the npc in the tent in mor dhona

The Daily Hunt Marks and Weekly Hunt Marks are also a good way to gather Allied Seals which is an alternate route to gear up on a Soldiery Set.
Small fries gives 8 Allied Seals each, and there are 3 per day, so thats a good one.
FATE mark might be a pain but if you pay close attention to them you'll see they are somewhat predictable. Jumping to the FATE map every now and then might help. They are worth 20 seals each, 2 per day.
64 daily Allied Seals if you do them all.

A side tip, the reset on them occurs daily, but you dont have to do them on the very day. You can accept one set and do them the next day if needed then accept the set of that next day for a double dosis, of course, you can't pick the 2nd set if you havent completed the first, or you'll have to drop the first. This same applies for weekly marks, or Tribes.

Join an FC with people doing relics still, ask if any want to help you get through relic quest for teh bonus soldiery, run dungeons with FC with those who want bonus soldiery. You recieve the bonus too, gear up from the soldiery while capping poetics and buying bits. When you start to gear up join parties that have a new person for more bonus soldiery and you will hit ilvl 100 pretty fast, unlock and clear Labyrinth of the Ancients to unlock Syrcus Tower which you can farm for sands to upgrade the soldiery gear you have then farm World of Darkness, do the weekly for the Carboncoat.

Grab an undentified tomestone from ST along with a sand of time to get a 110 weapon. Then, if you want to go over 120 after you geared up with poetics, It's either lolhunts or time to start on coil. For coil you will need clear turn 5 and turn 9 before you can go into Final coil.

Gear: As people have said do your Daily Roulettes (Story, Low level and Hard Mode when you unlock that) for Sol Tomes to get iLv100 gear from Reverents Toll, but in mean time you can loot gear from the Lv50 dungeons as you go.
Weapon: A Relic Reborn quest, much easier with an FC helping you
Raids, Primals Crystal Tower, Binding Coil of Bahumat etc and you'll encounter the Hard Mode Primals as you do the storyline and your Relic quest line.

Theres also some light hearted content to do at lv50, you really must do Hildebrand as he's awesome, theres also the Moogle Delivery quests as nice set of side stories concerning some of the NPC's of the realm, its quite sweet

To be honest I'm a terrible lv50 when it comes to content, I slacked off last few months and have a lot of dungeons to do haha. Also still need to finish Coil :/
