Is the community active?

Hi, I was thinking of transferring to Mateus, was wondering how active the community was, and if there were any active FCs around? Me and my brother are on Ridill JP and its pretty lonely for english players.

I'd say the English community here would be more active than the English community on a Japanese server. That being said Mateus is one of the smallest NA server. However, that doesn't mean there's not still activity. There are plenty of active FCs on the server depending on what you're looking for and you can definitely still have an enjoyable experience despite the smaller size of the server.

It's a pretty quiet server. I would only recommend this server for people that already know someone here or want to run away from most populated servers.

Fair enough, thank you both. I may still considerate, the idea of a nice quiet server is nice, considering most content I'll do will be through duty finder anyway. Kind of afraid to go to a big server, when the expansion comes it would likely become WAY overcrowded.

It might be worth it to just try creating some alts on servers you're considering just to get a better feel for them before you transfer considering the cost of transfers.

Honestly, I'm from JP Legacy myself (Durandal) so if you hit up Mateus be prepared for price shock. That 50k MC Demi is now 500k, that 300k piece of gear is now 3m gil, you can become filthy rich on transferring over (buy cheap on Legacy, sell expensive on Mateus) but the server is generally very, very, very quiet. Party finder is currently empty for instance, so you'll probably have better luck with community on a larger server.
