Gifting Optional Items

Looking into picking up a member of my FC one of the Yda pets but is it possible to gift or mail? Tried searching the support center and google couldnt find any info.

You can't, it would be exploited by the players, so don't expect anything like that in the future.

If you know the player irl, i think there are crysta cards, wedding items can be traded, and you can dye your friend something with the sop metallic dyes, but that's all.

Yes, but make sure you can buy the minion with crysta, idr.

How would it be exploited?

All you need to do is keep them untradeable and add a section where you choose to gift it and then put down the players name and it will be mailed to them as if they did the purchase.

Theoretically, people could pay you gil in-game for you to go to the cash shop and buy the item for them...

That would be a poor excuse to not have a gift option cause theoretically people could be spending real life cash to get carried thru coil.
