Relic weapons QoL changes

While I sympathise with people who worked through the relic quests pre-nerf, you also have to consider that by completing each stage (assuming you did it when it was released) meant you would then have a relevant weapon for that patch. So although in it's entirety the relic questline was long and arduous, you actually only really did one new stage each update and got a relevant weapon.

Anyone now just starting to do their relic has to do ALL the stages before getting a relevant weapon, because previous stages give ilvl weapons you can easily obtain elsewhere, which is why they needed to nerf the quest otherwise why would anyone spend all that time when they can grind bcob for better weapons?

To summarise, I agree that there needs to be some streamlining of the process on the grounds that only the final resulting weapon is worth anything.

The atma stage really isnt that bad anymore, even if you have to do it with your relic equipped.

The alexandrite stage would benefit greatly from letting you play another class while you grind fates though. Theres nothing wrong with making earlier stages of long quests easier for people to catch up within a reasonable time period.

Relic quest is ok now....I did it all for the 2nd time in January ( atma-zodiac ). Getting animus books is ez now, doing the books still sux. Maybe decrease the amount of books? Novus was....ok I guess. And with the soldiery boost in 2.5, and boost to hunts, this SHOULD be laughable. Nexus shocked me though. This is what made me go crazy 1st time around with boredom. But a 50% nerf was just right imo.


U gotta remember, when we did these relic quests upon release, we got an amazing item. U done nexus upon release? gratz, u now got bis. Done nexus recently? Gratz, u got an outdated piece of crap, ofc it deserved it's nerf.

Either they are gonna have to repeatedly nerf each relic stage ( any reasonable person should be able to see the justification for this, what was good then, SUX now ) or else....they scrap the relic totally and give us a whole new quest in heavensward. maybe this amounts to more or less the same thing, but some people are touchy over it.

Because when all is said and done, ppl aren't gonna farm atmas when the latest tomestone weapon in CT 2000 is ilvl 048284048204.

I completed my WHM zodiac by my WAR, tbh, I am very unhappy for this as now relic lost it's identity.
I completely agree previous stages should be nerfed but I don't agree let players process in other job.
For example if you can use GSM craft and turn in item to obtain LTW's supra tools, would it be a QoL?

Well considering it had taken me 4+ months to get all 12 atmas before 2.4, and with 2.4 i had my Full atmas, and Animus weapon for Ninja within a week and a half so that portion is waaaaay easier now.
Light farming though has been dreadfully long

Do you realize how much of my life would be saved waiting in Que's if I could do my books on a tanking job? Not only would it save me like 2 hours in the DF waiting as the job in question but it would put more tanks into the pool and speed things up for everyone.

Except that this doesnt fit the lore (like already said) I also dislike this specific idea because for me running those dungeons were actually some sort of "prove" or in some cases maybe another learning session - if I see a person with an Animus-weapon I assume they know that job pretty well and that defines my expectations I have on them. But what does that weapon mean if you didnt earned it by playing the job its for? For me that kind of weapon should also be a bit of a prove of your skill. It never will be that as much as I would like it - so please... dont take that little bit we've got away...

I'm utterly sick and tired of running idiot dungeons for a minute, itty bitty chance drop of a relic item. I've run snowcloak 30+ times, and STILL don't have my drop. RNG can burn in hell, and so can the person who came up with it. It's literally like the OLD atma.

Up to over 40 runs of it. If they want to make people utterly loathe and hate dungeons, it's working. Seriously giving though to ending my subscription over this atmarng bullcrap.
