Relic weapons QoL changes

I think it would make a lot of people's lives a lot better if you could make certain quests in the zodiac chain NOT require being equipped with the relic weapon in question.

Do you realize how much of my life would be saved waiting in Que's if I could do my books on a tanking job? Not only would it save me like 2 hours in the DF waiting as the job in question but it would put more tanks into the pool and speed things up for everyone.

Next point, farming Atma's or Alexandrite from Fates. Wouldn't everyone be getting a lot more done if they could farm atma's as another job? Get Atma's and Alex at once, or level a lower job while farming either of them?

It drives me nuts doing these sorts of things so ineffectively and has driven me to quit in the past out of frustration. I think people would get a lot more enjoyment out of doing these things if they felt they were getting more out of their time.

I get why they do this. To keep people grinding. So we dont get them too fast, but these things are very frustrating. I myself thought oh my god i'm never doing this again when i did my first weapon. But keep people happy and theyll keep playing, and maybe more people would do more weapons. Happy people keep playing, frustrated annoyed ones quit.

You do realize people did this when i60-80ish was the norm

When ATMA drop rate was like 2%

You do realize people did this when books were still 1500 myth and fate respawn times were like 4-5 hours

Where Alex was pretty much only obtained through dailies and seldom a fate or seals ?

When Light wasn't doubled

I raise my hand because I'm one of those people, and I'm not an elitist by any means but enough is enough they've done ample amount of things to ''cut'' down the grind to where people like me in my position are like ,yeah we got our weapons, but boy do I wish these changes were out when I was grinding

Tough it up, take your que time, and farm for seals for Alex and do your quest.......

Happy Players Keep Playing....annoyed players that are only annoyed doing a grind they truly don't have to do either craft or go do FcOB for a high end weapon......

Agree! I camped the zombie fate in south than due to "pop" rate for hours, I MEAN HOURS. I think the whole process took 38 hours for all 12.

Honestly I'm not looking for a nerf to it, but two ideas I'd like to see added in is to allow alex/alex maps or other relic items sold by a goblin in each beastman stronghold for the respective currency for that area. I see the currency on the market boards, but it really has no use atm. The other idea i tossed around was selling alex/ alex maps for company seals.

I understand where people who have worked their asses off and gotten their zodiacs would be annoyed if it were made easier. What I'm shooting for here isn't to make it easier exactly, but more to streamline the process so it doesn't feel like I'm wasting my time.
There are always those people who will say there's nothing wrong. I just think it could be better and should be better than it currently is.

If you paid attention to the lore for the relics, those were monster defeated by the zodiac braves using that weapon. You would essentially get credit for killing something with a completely different job even, so no, that won't happen, it goes against all the lore completely.

I would like to see some changes to the Alex/Alex maps, either letting people who party up all get an Alex for each map, or selling them with different vendors, as mentioned above. I've done 300 fates as of today post-buff on Alex drop rates, and have not gotten a single one, as either pld with novus, or blm with animus

I have 2 novus, working in #3, so I have done the grind.
