The Black Shroud: a.k.a. A greener, crappier version of Sanctuary of Zi'Tah

Coerthas: a.k.a. Lufaise Meadows, Konschtat Highlands, Misareaux Coast -take your pick

Mor Dhona: Looks a hell of a lot like many of the Aht Urghan expansion areas (Mount Zhayolm, and some of the Assault areas, etc.).

The races are IDENTICAL -minus a tale on the Roegadyn (Galka). I don't even know why I would acknowledge such an ignorant claim, anyway. I've indulged you long enough. FFXIV has more in common with FFXI than any 5 FF titles have in common with another. Don't kid yourself.
Yeah, different world. While they may share similarities (depending on how hard you squint your eyes to see them), they are NOT the same thing. They have their own lore and own designs.

As for the races they did that to lure in FFXI players, but these races have entirely different back stories to the old ones. Including clans. Different gods, etc.
I mean by that logic FFXIV is just FF8-2 because it has humans in it! And Marlboro!
And Summons! And black magic! And white magic! And a "worlds gonna end" storyline! And gunblades!

Or it's like FFVI because it has magitek!
Or like FFVII because it has materia and meteor!
Or like FFXII because it has guys who look like judges!
Or like FF tactics because of how the job system works!

FFXIV borrows from ALL the games pretty much, just like EVERY OTHER final fantasy game.

Like I said before: ALL FF games share similarities. That doesn't make them the same damn thing.

Honestly I would say if anything, the game world reminds me more of Final Fantasy 12 than 11.

    P.S. I played FFXI from 2005-2011.

I had friends who tried FFXIV and LEFT because they felt it was TOO different from XI.
