    I would like summoner to have main damage come from summon tho,because right now actually main damage coming form summoner itself kinda odd.
    I really like ( sorry if I name other game ) summoner in L.......ge2 that when I buff my summon then it hit like a truck D and I just maintain my distance from my opponent , and support my summon with heal and quickdamage spell and when I get hit by something then I share that damaged to summon I remember it like 50% of income damage

    It just my thought tho , don't frame on me

    Then people would just sit there doing nothing with pet out. its not like people in DF has amazing dps to beging with and then add another lazy way to clear content without doing anything. People who want redesign should just switch the game, there are people who like it the way it is. Only problem is the content thats made for more bursty dps, like the new dungeons where u have to dps something fast. I just go blm or ninja on those dungeons.

    Not necessarily... Even if they were to redo SMN to being "pet heavy" they could still make it where the summoner would control the skills through the pet just as they do with Egi's, but a bit more complex (depending on how they'd actually redo the job).

    Will there be lazies that would allow pets to do whatever they like just as there are now? Yep!

    Will those players ever make it in Hard Mode, EX or coil teams? Most likely not...

    That's the problem looking at 2.4 and 2.5 all the new content was made for bursts dps in order to have more intense and harder battles. Guess what future content will revolve around bursty dps so the Summoner that everyone likes will be useless.

    The closest thing to Summoner in WoW is the Shaman which uses the destructive force of nature and elements as well as using elemental totems to do damage.

    I wasn't suggesting a total revamp of the job. I'm fine with SMN being centered on DoT's with a pet. But as more summons get added to the game, one will eventually end up being the consensus DPS pet to use, while the others remain in our spellbooks collecting dust.

    If summons instead are a spell that's added to our DPS rotation (ie. summoning Ifrit could be a Hellfire AOE attack similar to Flare, balanced by a reasonable cooldown and/or Aetherflow charge), then it really opens up how the job can develop further, while sticking to its roots. Other summons could then be added to provide utility, such as classics like Golem providing a shield to the party, or Fenrir casting Invisibility, etc. We would still be an Arcanist with our DoT's and tank/dps carbuncles at heart, but the SMN job would add to the class rather than just give it a coat of paint.

    I love this idea too , It would be like the olds day in finalfantasy
    When we cast hell fire and then suddenly The giant shadow of ifrit appear in our back and cast piller of hellfire but also in order to use we must have aether stack or something like that , right now It like caster with lot of debuff ( It's cool tho ) I barely do anything with summon It's like It not even there( even I obey and press thier skill myself all time) all concentrated going in to my skill. don't get me wrong It's very cool class combine skill with all debuff and all that but with the name " summoner " I just expect more form summon that all.

    It's a bad idea balance-wise. If you got to do all your damage and then be able to run around doing all the fights mechanics without upkeep it would be nearly broken, and smn is already top notch in that regard as is.

    Yes, I know there's 100s of summoner threads. But they need help. I'm surprised at all the flack they're getting for making these threads, expecially from MNK, who cried and got their buff.

    Monks cried - they got help
    Dragoons cried so many times - keep getting help
    Warriors cried - got help
    BLM - cried - got help

    Ninja - nerfed. The TP nerf was justified. But not the Ninjitsu Damage nerf. It was all the incompetent Monks crying that aren't skilled enough to do Top DPS getting butthurt when out DPS'd by Nin. DRGs also crying got Ninja nerf'd, but they were justified. And they got their 2nd buff by crying.

    Summoner - nerfed. They need serious help, but crying to no avail.

    Bard - nerfed. 2.1 nerf was justified. 2.4 nerf was ridiculous and unjustified with even more lower WD. They need help in the near future, and crying to no avail.

    The only thing these jobs can do is complain and complain until they get heard. It worked for MNK, DRG, WAR and BLM.

    I'd just take Bane's spread back and call it even. Even if it was a trait to make it spread to more than 3 enemies (I'd prefer it be raised to unlimited), I'd be happy.
