The Firefall Faire music

I'm all for fun events during holidays etc in MMOs but one thing that's really been bugging me lately is the constant trumpets of the summer event music following me wherever I go.

It's gotten to the point where I just have my music turned off, and from talking with others, I'm not the only one tired and annyoed by this theme being played all over the world.

The last straw for me was when me and a friend went over to Coerthas for some SP grinding on the local mobs there.
Now instead of the hearing the beuatiful soundtrack of the zone my ears got assualted by the horrific event music and I promtly turned my music back off again.

I can only imagene new players just starting the game, getting blasted by this music everywhere, ruining alot of the atmosphere some zones offer, like entering said Coerthas for the very first time.
For me that was breathtaking seing the beauty of the land there accompained by a awesome soundtrack.

And maybe its just a matter of musical taste, but if compared to the summer festival music from FFXI, this track we got now is in my opinion, just awful.
In XI the festival music got me in a good mood and it felt special hearing it in the select areas it played, it was a good fitting track for the world, it wasnt constantly hammered into my brain totaly making me loose any sense of immersion and wanting to just log off...

Anyways enough rambling, and yes I know its only around 9 more days before this event ends, but I would like to not have this same thing happen during future in-game holidays.

Please restrict the event music to only the main cities and the in the immediate vicinity of the event NPCs.

I'm one of those people annoyed with it too. Especially when I realized I couldn't get away from it. Just came back recently after a short break. Went on a leve run and was shocked to hear the music still playing as I tele'd to Horizon. After that I walked to the dock, got on the boat to LL, and sure enough it's on there too. I couldn't escape it!!

I posted about something similar to this happening in coerthas around camp riversmeet. It stretches ALL over coerthas essentially and it's so annoying considering the music there is my favorite.

On/off switch for the festival music or only make it audible in cities.

They need to make this music come from an actual band that follows you around like the Nannygoats used to. Summer is almost over just hang in there.

Just to think the event is gonna last one more week, i wanna throw myself off a cliff.
That means that every day for like 5 hours im gonna have to listen to that damn track.

I mean, i do love it. But after two weeks of listening to it non stop, i just wanna shoot myself.

I'm even crafting just so I can hear another theme XD
