    Chain bonus yields loot bonus [Suggestion Dev 1132]

    I'd like to suggest a feature similar to FFXII's chains that gave better and more loot the longer you chained killing mobs. In FFXII if you continued to kill mobs from the same family you would start getting more of the common drops and start seeing rare drops.

    For FFXIV this could work in conjunction with the exp chain bonus and for as long as the chain is kept up you will see HQ drops at a very high rate from the mobs.

    Since the exp chain will only work on mobs that are your level or above, this will prevent players from farming low level mobs continuously for HQ items at this higher rate. They would have to settle for the normal HQ drop rate.

    Good idea. Would be nice having chaining mosters a different purpose than just EXP. Maybe not add different loot (i do think having rare loot obtainable only this way would be nice tho) but using the chain as drop rate modifier...bigger the chain, better the drop rate.

    I guess Vaan turned most of you off before getting a chain in XII, understandable.
