    I too, like my Enki and Arie got pretty jaded by the dueling set up in other MMO's. For me it was mostly the ultimate level of tardation those in WoW would go to when I said I wasn't interested.
    That being said, I love Enki's idea of there being maybe a place FOR such contests, like IN the Gold Saucer or even a special instance within Halatali since that's kinda' what the place was for.
    I fully agree with Arie that no it doesn't NEED to be there, but I wouldn't mind seeing it in some degree since my IC background is that of a wandering Martial Artist who loves to partake in "Street Fights" to test herself.
    I wouldn't mind seeing duels if they were handled in a way that prevented griefing and trolls and fit in with the universe we're all playing in. ^^
