    Think you meant HQ gloves, but you've got a point; I didn't expect Forager gear to be fully capped with 3 materia, that's interesting!

    No he's quite possibly right, or at least on the right track. Several of the i60 crafted left side are very easily maxed even from nq status.

    Reminds me of a racial penalty in LOTRO. Hobbit characters would swim through puddles (very slow speed) vs every other race that would just wade through the water as if it wasn't even there. I think it was unintended there and this STR bug for lalafell is probably unintended here.

    The nodes affected by stats are the Mining node in North Thanalan (requires 202 STR) and the Botany node in South Thanalan (reqired 202 INT). As a Moon miqote I am 2 STR and 1 INT short of meeting these requrements. Previously when gathering I would swap out a ring for a DD ring. When I got my Foragers gear, I actually melded a STR and INT materia to my gloves to meet the cap. So I wouldn’t have to fiddle with rings

    Since the greatest a stat deviation can be is 3 I would have thought SE would have made the requirements the natural base (202) less three (so 199), but they didn't, so we just gotta deal with it by melding or gear swap

    Greetings, Masters of the Land,

    The requirements needed to be able to increase the amount of times you can gather at a node is a set value between each race’s stats. The races you pointed out have racial stats that do indeed not meet the requirements for specific nodes; however, if we were to adjust the nodes mentioned in this thread there may still be situations where other nodes or races might not meet the natural stat requirements to increase the amount of times they can gather at these special locations.

    The gathering nodes are set up so that any race can gather from any node, but by making adjustments to stats by melding material, making use of potions, or using food buffs, any race can also get the full advantage of these special nodes. We would like if players tried various methods to achieve these additional gathering attempts.

    For gathering node requirements, we’ll continue to make sure the difficulty to meet the requirement isn't too far apart between races moving forward.

    Sadly, the enormous cooldowns on potions, coupled with their brief duration, means that this is not really so. Anyone who wishes to take advantage of 5-hit nodes likely wants to do it over and over again during a single gathering session. Potion cooldowns mean they can only take advantage of the 5-hit node once every five minutes (or 4 min, 30 seconds for HQ). A gatherer rotating between nodes will come back to that 5-hit node WAY more often than that, so the actual benefits are pretty minimal.
