That solution would be decent as well, and likely less code for the programmers, as I bet the repair system is dependant on the item not being equipped to function.

The original suggestion was just based around not having to carry around 3 or 4 suits of gear.

Though perhaps with some of the simplified crafting changes (especially to cooking I am hoping), maybe I'll have some more retainer space coming soon.

It's not a huge inconvenience right now anyway. I still end up with a good amount of inventory space for drops, and I just sell my extra stuff everytime I go back for leves.

My vote is still on my original suggestion, but if that's not possible or feasible, then what the others suggestion would make the convenience factor a little higher.
