[dev1016] Synth Revisions: Middle Ground

Is there no middle ground here? Don't do away with parts completely but lessen the diversity of parts needed for a recipe. Eg: no more glue to make a sword or something along those lines.

For Facility and Treatise requirements it sounds like they might have found a middle ground in the current plans. I've seen other people suggest that it sound as if SE has them planned as a bonus instead of necessity. Being a necessity for higher level or rare recipes would be fine too. But since they're used less maybe have the players actually use that forge in LL (animations and whatnot like the npcs do.)

Color changes are good. Requiring specifically colored parts never made any sense at all.

Simplified does not mean better. Parts, treatises and facilities were nice they just needed tweaking like nearly everything else in this game. None of these things have to be scrapped.

the wording of the changes is that the treatises are not defunct, they just won't have a use until they figure a new one that they will use at that point.

While i can see why most people might confuse the changes to dyeing as simple removing the requirements of specific colored pieces for recipes, its not the same. ~

The first is dumbing down, the second is more similar to removing rank +10/+20 items from a recipe.~
Considering that recipes seem to be changed into something that no longer has requirements such as an item of a far greater rank, specifically colored pieces being required, being removed, was already a given.

Personally id kind of prefer it if i could still color something i made if id so choose the option tho...

I don't see why people should be given easy color options if they cant even be assesed to gather/make the materials for that rare color themselves. (isnt it enough that the normal item will be easy enough to make to begin with, from the next patch onwards?)
