In my opinion diversity requires an amount of exclusivity. If everybody has all the same things then they are all the same.... To be different and stand out you need things that are not common.

With that train of thought I think we need more race and sex exclusive aesthetics (stances, gear, so on).

Sure it sucks when you see something you like that you cant have. That is what makes it special though..... We need more of it!

Exclusive emotes are fine, but gender-driven poses are incredibly lame and sexist in the case of certain poses (female warrior using two hands, female whm being delicate, etc). Giving people more options will allow them to choose what suits them best. A lalafell with only 3 options means there are only so many variations. A lalafell with 6 options doubles your variation. It's not a difficult concept. Changing your gender to get a pose is backwards.

I would like the Jobs to have the ability to change their running animations as well as access to the gender specific job animations. Ninja's look pretty cool when they are running with their weapons out why Dragoons, Monks, Bards... just about every job other than Ninja, looks silly running with their weapons out. Dragoons could easily place the lance on their shoulder while running like the Marauder standing still pose.

Different battle poses would be cool as well. The Monk battle pose has always annoyed me for some reason and the Roegadyn Dragoon battle pose looks a little silly with the lance way up in the air compared to the other races. Again just my opinion lol.

I think it would be cool to have active standing poses. Like for example monk, when you are standing still, the characters pose has them doing martial arts exorcises. Like the things Yang is doing in the opening to FFIV. Maybe had Dragoons twirling their spear around their bodies or Paladins sharpening their sword and checking their shield.

I personally think there is a lot of potential for standing animations and while some race animations perhaps should be gender locked, like sitting and standing, i think Job poses and such should be gender-less.

I like the female dragoon pose. I saw this one chick in WoD yesterday and took a screenie because she just looked so badass. xD

I want to change the glamour on my female dragoon and iirc the person in the image sort of looked like a Valkyrie right? I dig it so much so if you can link it again that'd be much appreciated.

As a Dark Knight main it saddens me that because my character is female she won't put her sword over her shoulder in her pose. I really love that pose but in order to get something even close I have to use /vppose and /gpose to pause the animations so I can take screenshots. And I can't use the pose outside of /gpose.

I really love the male DRG pose too, and can't use that one either. It would be nice to have the option to choose which pose you want outside of using a fantasia to change genders.

I think the issue more or less stems from the inability to choose which poses we want the characters to associate with? I have a pretty girly character and RP wise, she's pretty stubborn on certain things while exuding an air of confidence that may not be earned. Given the choice, I'd like the male poses of ninja, bard and dark knight far more than the female counterparts because they have an air of confidence. I really don't like the fact my female dark knight's pose is just a knock off from Saber's pose, considering dark knight is pretty similar to Berserk's Guts.
