Cons and emity

Was wondering if there's a specific reason why a heal takes full emity off a glad and pug or any tank in that matter? unless there coming out with full plate armor for cons to be tanks, i don't see a reason why cons take so much emity when healing.

You should only really be pulling enmity off a tank if you're curing at the beginning of a fight.

CON's cures give you enmity equal to 75% of the damage cured. Your tank will need to get some solid hate before you start cure spamming them, or you'll rip hate off your tank. A great way to make sure that doesn't happen is to have your tank cure themselves during the first part of a fight, that combine with their provokes and such will give them pretty solid hate so you can start curing.

As Sol said, you shouldn't be curing at all until your tank is out of MP from curing him/herself.

After that, Soughspeak is your best friend.

If you want to support your tank in the early part of the fight without dragging emnity, buff the guy. Stoneskin is an amazing preventative spell and arguably a conjurer's best friend.

i didnt start healing till the mob was about dead and even then i still pulled the mob off of it, and i do agree Aiko, Soughspeak is great but for me it doesn't work all the time :/

Use Curaga as a panic-button only. Your tank will need to be ready to lose hate when you do and you will need to be ready to guard like hell.

Focus on single cures when desperate, or even better - use sacrifice since it grants regen, which is brilliant on a tank. Additionally, if you've got a good tank, only one character will be taking the bulk of the damage anyway, meaning no need for the multi-targeting spell.

And tell your tank off if he isn't using second wind to keep his own HP up a bit. Healing is not JUST the conjurer's responsibility.

Healing will generate lots of hate in 1.18. It's make sense actually, just image when u engage in 2 mobs and 1 of them can heal, which one u willing to kill 1st? And like wut Sol_Aureus said, there is no need to rush in healing before ur tank building up enough hate.

I agree MuSaKa, it's everyones duty to control enemity, not just the tanks. I mean good lord, we have enemity meters now for pete sake.

Try using Cure II / Sacrifice II as opposed to tier 3 spells, that helps a great deal with enmity I find.

The enmity reduction on Elemental Shroud isnt bad at all.
