Cannot do any levequests - legacy account

    Hi,
I used to beta test xiv and am a legacy player from 1.0 ect.

I started playing again a little while ago and I can not do any levequests with any of my characters so im stumped. I remember when i first played this game that all you COULD do was levequests so im a little confused. I have lvl 50thm/blkmg, 25arcanist, and 15 archer. I have played through the guild quests for every level listed and im on the main story quest at about lvl 24. Is there something i've missed? No matter which character or who i go up to whether it be the 3 main ones in the main cities, or any of the levemetes I see in all the various locations in the world they just tell me they would get in trouble letting someone as green as me do a levequest. It can be a little pain in the ass right now leveling my arcanist and having to basically just do nothing but fates and the dozen quests for each level in various areas i visit. Someone, anyone PLEASE HELP ME!

    Welcome back!

How far have you gotten in ARR's main storyline? Levequests are now unlocked via a quest that becomes available once you complete the main scenario quests for your starting city up to the level 10 one, even if you're a player from 1.0 (the Inn is also unlocked at the same time). SE changed things from 1.0 in that pretty much everything in the game is unlocked incrementally by completing the storyline or quests given by your class's Guild (usually 1.0 characters however have these things already available to them if you unlocked them already in 1.0, but levequests seem to be the exception to that).

There should be a level 10 quest in the Adventurer's guild in your starting city.

Mholito is right. If you've satisfied the prerequisite (completing the level 10 main scenario quest), a new side quest should now be available from the levemete counter in the Adventurer's Guild of your starting city (during the cutscene at the end of the level 10 story quest the Adventurer's Guild proprietor actually informed you that the levemete in the Adventurer's Guild is "very eager to make your acquaintance" while at the same time saying "Guildleves Now Available!").

This quest will take you to a nearby camp/settlement, where speaking to the levemete in that settlement will issue you a 'trial levequest' which has to be completed as part of the sidequest. Doing so will then unlock levequests completely - although you will then have to go to each levemete in turn to unlock leves in each area - completing this quest simply unlocks the ability to undertake them.

    Yes, what Enkidoh said.

When in doubt, as well, always take a good look at your Journal: it keeps an exhaustive record of both the objectives you've completed and the new tasks you've embarked upon.

I might add that guildhests are activated in a similar vein as levequests, though the progression is quite linear in this case - once you got started somewhere, you'll simply unlock the next levels by completing the previous one (they get added to the Duty Finder).
