I would love to have on Steam as well, but i hope it wont be like FFXI where is only available to selected region only. *curse* SE for region restriction.

Both Konami and SE need to use Steam more.

Wouldn't matter one way or another for me, but I really don't understand why so many people love Steam. It's DRM disguised as a chat client. I use steam, but I avoid it whenever I can, I don't want my crap bound to a program consuming extra resources and getting in the way of using addons/mods or software config adjustments to make the software run on machines the developers didn't consider.
I will never understand people. EA and Origin = community explosion. Steam = OK. ????

Because steam doesn't use any resources, idling right now its using 5 MB of my 8,000 MB of ram. I can download my games whenever I want on any computer, it's all on one central location, I don't have to worry about discs or CD keys. It is a million times better then it used to be with PC games. The DRM is never invasive other then having to log on to the internet and offline mode is a great compromise. So it's not a big deal, its better then any DRM ubisoft or EA uses and they even are worse by tacking on more DRM with Steam, so you are going to get terrible DRM because of them. Plus the deals they have on games will never happen with EA. And the other side features such as cloud saving, so I can pick up my gamesave on my laptop and then go back to playing with desktop without worry. All my screen settings and options are saved, it's way better. All included with purchase of the game. I am not sure what you mean by addons or mods comment, cause the games are all installed just the same in the steam folder and its extremely easy to plug mods in, I just did that with Deux EX lastnight and now I have super awesome textures and resolutions for that game.Wouldn't matter one way or another for me, but I really don't understand why so many people love Steam. EA doesn't have the catalog, the options and functionality is severely limited in comparisons with being able to use custom usernames on games, chat functionality, that and we already have been through the growing pains of accepting Steam when it first came out with Half-Life 2. I want my games on Steam it's an investment now, the games are on one location. I don't want fragmentation.
This. Steam is the best online marketplace for games that exists at the moment.Because steam doesn't use any resources, idling right now its using 5 MB of my 8,000 MB of ram. Doesn't change the fact that it takes control over the game. Can't play Steam games without Steam, and anything that wants to control my software like that well, I'll pass. Sure, it doesn't use a lot of resources, but the fact that it uses extra resources for absolutely no real reason is a downside. Almost all major websites (Amazon, direct2drive, etc) store your purchasing data when you buy digital games and can install/download them just like you could through Steam, except without the DRM.
My comment about addons/mods/settings is because I've purchased several old games on Steam through weekend and seasonal deals and I can't play most of them because they require tweaks that can't be done through Steam. Deus Ex was one of them.
When EA announced Origin the community blew up because it was stealth DRM, which is exactly what Steam has been since it's inception. But it's okay for Steam, but not for anyone else. I mean they might as well put FFXIV on Steam because it would make little sense not to, but I just don't understand why people love Steam so much. I buy all of my games through Amazon digital or direct2drive and it's so much better. Usually cheaper, too.
