Fishing would be a great gold-mine IMHO, while I'm not one myself the money I spend on Fish for Alchemy is astounding. If you want a double whammy, Fish and level Alchemy and sell the mass ammounts of crystals you make for mad cash.

As said, crafting leads to profit if you're smart about it, even at the low levels, but selling raw materials works quite well too.

If crafting just isn't your thing, crystal shards come in abundance off of mobs, and sell for a good chunk of change in bulk. Consider Botany also, quite easy money.

But ultimately, crafting is the path to becoming wealthy, rather than rich.
