I am asking you to work on the RMT advert issue. It is ongoing issue and it is not improving since SE set up the policy dealing with RMT issue. It seems that the policy is no longer not effective.

You told me that blacklist them will solve the issue, it clearly not solve the issue as I stll received numberous of times per day. If I had to blist every of them, I had to remove the player who harrassed me, who was rude to me in the game. But I cannot keep them on the list because I had to clear them in order to blist the new RMT advert.

I felt that you are not listening to us. We are your loyal, long term player that support FFXIV and Square Enix. Please do something before we lose faith in you.

I wanted you to realize that RMT advert is really annoying me. Do you want many strangers to knock at your door and offer you a bag of apples every 5 to 10 minutes.

I don't understand why you, Square Enix chose not to listen to our concerns and decided to continue to announce how many accounts were banned was only the solution. Banning their accounts doesn't really scare the people who made lots of money from RMT as they clearly keep coming back by buying a new FFXIV software and create new account and start all over again.

That makes us wondering why SE doesn't really do much about it. Does SE wants them to keep buying your FFXIV software, just as for the profit, to make your shakeholders happy.

SE needs to show their consumers some respect and truly appreciate our support like what they really mean in Letter from the Producer.

I feel that FFXIV, Square Enix owe us some explanations, please do not leave us in dark. What else have you tried? Any further plans for this ongoing issue?

SE bans RMT in huge batches. At least the GMs do things about RMT and multiboxing. In WoW(was in WoW for years so it's a good point of reference), multiboxing was not an offence in game despite it's cheating and RMT nature.

I hope there is another wave of bans for RMT soon. It has been a while since the last one.

dunno what ur talkin about i report n block every1 i see and delete the deleted 1s from my black list regurly in my world i rarely see any kind of rmt message spam via shout or via /tell

umm... multiboxing isn't a bannable offense, nor is it cheating, nor is it directly related to RMT. Multiboxing is someone using their controller or keyboard to control two characters at once, with two different subscriptions.

please, don't start spreading misinformation that just because someone has better multitasking skills, that that person is somehow cheating. its a disservice to a lot of people out there.

on topic, though, if you are clearing your blacklist regularly, you should have plenty of room for both RMT and harassing people. I have been playing for 4 months, and have blacklisted 70% of the gil spammers I saw, and still have room left.

While I'm sure no one can say they wouldn't like to see this being handled better, I think they're doing a pretty good job. But I've noticed that it depends on your server. I know on mine It's unusual if I get an RMT tell once every few months. It could be because RMT don't have as much success on JP servers or it could be that because I'm an English player they don't target me because our population is too small. Who knows.

Nothing in here is new, its been well known by most people from players to developers about the rmt issue and they ARE working on it.

But removing RMT spammers isnt just about flipping a switch.

It requires investigations because not only do they need to establish that the person beeing reported actually IS a rmt bot.

Then they need to investigate if the account belongs to a player who lost it or not.

And by the time that is done theres probably alrdy 5 new ones spamming RMT sales.

Also you can remove blacklisted rmt bots about 4-5 days after you put them there and they will in most cases be removed, the reason they dont show as "deleted" is that the account gets suspended rather then deleting the character or something i bealive.

Start permanent-banning the gil buyers, it is the only way. So far they have been unwilling to do this. However, there may be a shift towards this. In the last RMT banning report, there were 10 accounts that were only temporarily suspended. These are possibly gil buyers. Hopefullly this will continue to grow, because we all want to see mass bannings of gil buyers.

"all" is a pretty strong word. gil buyers ARE a major driver of our economy, and the markets on all servers will see a pretty major decline in both volume and demand if gil buyers are banned. and seeing as how, for a pretty large portion of the population, the market board IS our endgame, this is directly harmful to our gameplay experience.

Gil sellers and advertisers, ban them. but the bots that single handedly keep the prices of shards and low level mats reasonably priced by putting in the equivalent of thousands of man hours of skill-free labor, they help the economy. its a delicate balance.
