Back to the days when i played Skyrim a lot i enjoyed sooo much my vampire mage because of the perks vs vulnerabilities balance and the feeling to be "different"

Even tho its unlikely to see vampires coming to FF id like to go vampire (esp if its succubus like)

Well Yoshida did say that you can make your Au Ra look like a succubus. Once I fantasia I might RP my character as a vampire. Recently I changed my in character blog to make it look like I am hunting vampires instead of just leveling and following the story:

Honestly I don't see how playable vampires would work here. I would love to be one but as a race we wouldnt be able to do anything vampire like, as a class we could cure vampirism by equiping a different weapon and as a condition like in Elder Scrolls we would have an un-esunaable status effect that stays indefinitely during logouts, class changes and death. It would be a nightmare to code.

Hope Yoshie comes here and proves me wrong.

At the very least I want Hildibrand to investigate vampire rumors.

Please SE make the possibility to go vampire with the effects below:

- HP recovery reduced by 50% during daytime even in fights
- permanent dps boost of 5% (10% for mages as vamps are basically magic users)
- 10% increased vulnerabilty to fire spells.

I know im a bit masochist but this will at least

- makes things more dangerous so more exciting. As a blm with 6500 hp i miss the " mighty but squishy" feeling of mages / vampires build of other RPGs

- makes a bit of sense lore wise

- prevent "holy / good side" jobs like whm or pld to go vampire which should be more interesting for ninjas, summoners, black mages and other bad guys.

Yeah it would be very complicated. Still if TESO could make vampire status work, it could happen.

At present I would be happy with even vampire NPC-s appearing. We could join later.

I would love to be a Vampire. I am a huge..huge...HUGE Vampire lover. You guys have no idea. lol
If the race would be able to be 'played', I would want to have some sort of levitating power, or have a Sprint ability for endless amounts of time (Kiss of the Viper NIN ability - endless, unless you take it off manually). And by God, I would love to have myself flying! If Ishgard/Heavensward can implement flying mounts, then why not us characters having some sort of class, or a way for US to fly as well?

Why not? I'm a vampire person but nowadays vampires can't take two steps without bumping into werewolves. They are less represented in Final Fantasy (I think 5 is the only one) but who cares. We need innovation anyway.

I was thinking about how to impelement vampirism and came up with a system called Ascension. Unlike the armory stuff this would most likely be one permanent choice. You would pick one kind of superhuman existence that gives you a set of new abilities traits and everything you need to make it work. You would chose between saaay: Vampire, Padjal, Sylph and Werewolf.

We might get an answer tomorrow. If my question is picked and Yoshie-P confirms vampires in Ishgard this will become the official thread. At least I intend it to be. Come to think of it, with 2.55 ending the way it did we might need a few undead characters.
