Didn't you take notice of the storyline for Haukke Manor? Lady Amendine had virtually became a vampire after making a shady deal with the Void/Ascians (or at least, she was a thinly-veiled Madame Bathoy copy in that she was drinking blood from her maidservants in an attempt to regain her beauty) - although she looked more like a succubus, the connection was clear.
FFXI also has vampire enemies, although they were a special genus of undead who only appeared as a boss monster (which curiously was absent from that FF Wiki list), so it's like ARR will also feature a similar family of enemies to fight. All we need is a whip class in the game to compliment it.![]()
She's nothing like a vampire. A vampire becomes a vampire by being bitten by another vampire, and from there on out they must feed on blood to survive (or at the very least maintain their strength). She doesn't have any of the cliche vampire traits like bat transformations, blood-sucking abilities, regenerating wounds, superhuman speed and strength, ect (she also uses Dark Mist, which screams succubus). And personally, I have enough faith in the devs to believe they will create brand new models for vampires instead of recycling succubi models.

Different lores have different ideas of how vampires work and how they're made. As an example, look up Jiangshi. So for all intents and purposes, she's vampire-ish and has a semi-distinct model from the succubi. Halicarnassus also counts as she not only has draining blood from her adds as a mechanic, but follows in up with an attack called rain of blood based on how much HP she drains from them.
Being bitten by a vampire isn't the only way there's books and such and that new Dracula movie that shows that just taking in the blood of a vampire can turn you. There's also different types of vampires in different cultures and succubie can be considered a type since they need living energy to survive.

Or the vampire class from tactics S. Maybe the one in BD is more likely as it is more developed. Still we likely won't get a new class soon. Vampires as enemies on the other hand could occur as early as 3.0
Although I don't want Dracula movies to deviate from the book, it is true that vampirism could come from different sources. For instance if vampires are classified as races they simply have sex. And both Trinity Blood and Hellsing has artificial vampires.Being bitten by a vampire isn't the only way there's books and such and that new Dracula movie that shows that just taking in the blood of a vampire can turn you. In fact, it is still a question wether simply sucking out the blood creates vampires at all. I think most sources agree that being drained simply turns you into a ghoul and being fed vampire blood is what changes you.
I wonder how far we'll go untill a dev post comes.
Erhm.... Just randomely checking...
Noticed a very cute race called Grias in Final Fantasy Tactics S that I wonder WHY is NOT the 3.0 race...
T_T
Aura is so.... Meh...

Yeah I did notice that one. Like I said in the OP they are a race of draconic people(like the Au Ra) with vampire as a class. Gives you a lot of crazy ideas
As far as I know there are two problems with the Gria. 1. They are all female 2. They have wings that wouéd not only cause serious clipping issues with armor but also enables them to fly, or at the very least levitate.

I'm from the Future, have we played Pandaemonium yet?![]()
