*sigh* Still no answer from Yoshie. At the very least he said that he wants more FFXI enemies to come up. Fingers crossed for Vampyr.
I was forced to discountinue my subscribtion, but I still occasionally look at the forums. And now I found a vampire class concept:

And it was also mentioned in the Void Ark discussion that it might have vampires in it.
Of course zero soild evidence, but we have something to talk about at least.
"Vampire" isn't a class or a job.. it's an affliction/Monster type/race. Technically speaking, Vampires would likely be either Ashkin or even Voidsent. So... what are we talking about here?
She's a succubus. Just like all the other succubi (handmaidens, Halicarnassus) we have in the game, and the succubus minion...

Well as Bravely Default shows Vampires could in theory work as a class (a variation of Blue Mage) but yes they would likely be an NPC race if implemented. Most likely gravekin, like all undead. What we are talking about here is everything related to vampires in the game. Their likely origin, the way they are implemented, everything."Vampire" isn't a class or a job.. it's an affliction/Monster type/race. As for Lady Amandine, yes she is a succubus, not a vampire, despite her Elizabeth Bathory vibe. What causes the problem is that in the translations for 2D Final Fantasy games Succubus and vampire lady/girl was used for the same creature.
I was really hoping for the Void Ark to give us a few bloodsuckers, but no luck. Well unless Echidna's Bloodguards are vampires. Still between all the creepy voidsent and Diabolos's bats, this questline seems like to be the best candidate for future vampire sightings.
Aaaand we finally get something. Sure the Vampire's Vest was worn by imps pretending to be regular people dressed up as vampires, but at the very least we can confirm that people believe in vampires that look like stereotypical movie vampires.
