Time To Hit The Dusty Trail - Server Moving

So my girlfriend and I are finally on the same server after the whole server epidemic crisis that happened back during 2.0 and we're thinking of moving to another server. We're both on Lamia and while the people on the server are very nice, it's not what we're looking for, we both like end-game raiding. Mind you we're not hard core and we like to take our time doing things. But we'd like a little more in terms of interaction with the locals. Lamia is quite honestly a server that has a very small community and a lot of people keep to themselves, which is fine. But we're both social butterflies, we tried opening up our FC to the public, but after a straight year, no fish were biting so we gave up entirely.

What we're looking for.
An LGBT Friendly FC/LS
A nice group of friendly folk to hang out/do stuff with on a daily basis.
Players who are competent enough to hold their own in a raid without needing to be scolded.

We have our sights set on Behemoth, mainly because they do server wide events which neither of us have ever done and one of my favorite streamers is actually on that server (MTQ) so it's a win for the both of us.

In terms of progression, I'm on T9 in Coil and my girlfriend is currently working on downing T11. I'm not as much of a raider as she is, which is fine, I tend to do the more fun fights and I'm more of a rare item hunter/collector. We both main Scholar and we're just generally looking for good folk to hang out with and find a place to call home. We plan on trying to make our transfer date on Sunday or Monday.

Well Behemoth is a great server and all and there are quite a bit of end game groups, but as with any other server, that comes with it fair with trolls and elitists. There are a bunch of friendly FCs there as well, like mine but mine doesn't raid.

Behemoth is a good server. My FC is not a big end-game or progression group. We do have some raiders, but do not maintain a static within the company. Instead we find that our members who raid work well in external statics, and enjoy socializing with us. As I said in another topic, I haven't been able to play anything near as often as I would like due to RL issues and RL business. However, our FC is more like a family or group of friends rather than the more structured progression oriented FCs. I'm not so much suggesting my FC as an option as I am explaining us so you know who we are. I'd be happy just to have another couple of friends/LS members on Behemoth who enjoy playing the game without stress.

So, if you wind up on Behemoth (which may be an issue since they regularly limit character creation on Behemoth) ping me in this topic, and I'll try to find you.

Though I should note that strictly speaking lalafell might be considered as food items by the many Nekos we have in our group. However, we are usually very good at sticking to our modern Miq'ote principles of not eating our friends for supper.

Indeed. Besides, in this game who is to say who is who and what is what? Both myself and my wife play female Miq'ote, as you can see Kosmos tends to the cute side, but I'm most definitely a dude - last time I checked anyway...

Before you go, you should tryout the FC I am in. Its very huge, like +300 players and its very active, very friendly. Im in Lamia and ive been with this FC since I started this game in Sep. 2013. Try it before you leave. FC Name: Apocalypse. Tell them Bloody sent you. or I can invite you when I get home from work. They do just about everything from crafting to end game, etc. The FC leader is awesome (shout out to Zero) and the atmosphere is fun. just try us out before you go.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such an issue with the server. Granted, Lamia doesn't always have the best community out there, but from what I hear that's sadly a constant state. Mostly I blame the cross-server Duty Finder for this, since there's no need to ever really run with anyone from your server save for the later raids and that doesn't promote any kind of community building. I also started my own FC with some friends (who have sadly gone inactive due to life issues), opened it to the public and haven't received a single bit of interest despite being Rank 8, allied to a GC and all the works... sadly you do need to actively recruit to find people.

Where I did find some respite, however, and this is an amazing turn of it... was in a hunt LS that I joined a couple months ago. Great community there, lots of people chatting and having fun. But that stems from the fact that in order to do the hunts you need to have a tight-knit group to be effective and it has to be on-server.

I hope you find what you're looking for in a community and your move goes successfully. In the mean-time, there are still of us out there on Lamia who are friendly and where 'LGBT' isn't something that even crosses our mind when picking our friends.

I think you'll find that most FC's are lgbt friendly even if they don't specifically advertise themselves as such. It should go without saying don't be a jerk to people in the FC.

I'm on and off through out the day but mostly on from 7PM est -12 am.
I doubt you remember my guild, DOGMA WARRIORS, from WKC but my FC is made out of people who went to XIV after the servers were shut down. We always been a friendly guild XD

I think any highly populated server will suit your needs. With that said, Gilgamesh is very populated and filled with alot of different people, from lgbt, hardcore end-game raiders, role players, casuals. Many FCs here advertise LBGT inclusion, people will talk to each other (/shout, /say) usually in mor dhona.

The PF is always active (right now theres 22 listings), it's the official reddit server.

Only down side is that it highly populated and you can only get in at certain times if you're lucky.

oh well welcome in advance to behemoth! i just moved in to it myself two weeks ago and i've had little to no trouble so far. in fact i think im having more fun than on my last server. i'd welcome you to my fc but it probably way smaller than what your looking for, everyone is super cool though. but yeah chat me up if you ever wanna i'd be happy to converse ^^

Well the neat thing is when you server transfer you're paying money to do so, so the server has no choice but to accept you whether or not they are taking characters! (Hooray!) I did this when I found out I couldn't make a character on Hyperion due to the character restriction But I was able to force my way onto Hyperion via Server Transferring. It's like being VIP at a club and normal people can't get in after 8:00. Hooooweeeeever if you show that special VIP pass the Bouncer will just be like "Come right on in." Which is essentially what we're doing when we transfer to another server. :P
