Happens to me too.
And whenever I bring it up on the forums I get the "use WTfast it's your ISP's fault you lag"
and I bought a month of WTfast to try it out and it's not doing anything at all, "connection improvement 5%" but still lagging like crazy.

During prime time I can't do Ex primals so I have to play on my alts doing low level dungeons where I can't cause wipes

Have you tried it with different VPN locations? Depending on just where you are getting routed at the other side of the tunnel, you could still be running into routing issues...possibly even the same.

I am trying WTFast too, and I seem to see less "rubber banding" than I did before. However, the client says I have "No Improvement" at all........ I still get 90k'd often.

I honestly think a lot of it has to do with server congestion. Often when I get the boot, I try logging back in to find the server is full. They may end up making new servers and asking people to volunteer to transfer. That's what they did in XI

Server congestion is the usual means for a player to be logged out. I am using a PS4, then I got the 14 day trial of Final Fantasy 14 and I did not had any lags and no 90K errors. As soon as I buy the game with the 30 day trial, there still no lag, between 30 and 60 frames per second on a PS4 which is very good, but, I get logged out with the 90K error or the 2002 error every 4 to 8 minutes of gameplay. I really want to start paying monthly for this game but I do not think is worth it so far.
