Heavensturn Screenshot Contest (EU) - Please revise results. Heartbroken here.

Hello. First, thank you for the great Seasonal events and contests.

But I'm sad with the "Heavensturn Screenshot Contest(EU)" results.
100 people were to get the Bluebird Earrings. 110 people entered.
So, 10 people would have tough luck. I was one of them.

I'm ok with that. But the thing is, the Bluebird Earrings were the prize of the "Starlight Celebration Screenshot Contest (EU)" too.
100 people won the Bluebird Earrings there too.

BUT 22 people won the Earrings on BOTH contests. This means that for the Heavensturn Contest you only gave 78 Earrings, since 22 people already had them.

88 people that didn't have the Earrings entered the contest that said 100 were to be given. Only 78 people won.
9 people and me didn't get the prize in Heavensturn Contest (EU).
22 people that already have it will get a unique item a 2nd time instead.

Please revise the results. I can't believe I won't get these Earrings...I'm heartbroken. It's almost a dealbreaker...Please.

There are 22 people that won on both. Their pictures totally deserved it. But they're getting a unique item twice, while on the "Heavensturn Screenshot Contest (EU)", we were just 10 people that didn't win.
How is this fair?

Winning an untradeable twice doesn't make much sense, I doubt they have the tools set up to check for that at the moment though. Perhaps you can get them to keep this in mind for the future, but as the reward was already sent out, even though some people couldn't take it out of the mail, it would be a bad message to say "hah, just kidding you didnt win" lol.

Perhaps they can make them +1 as you win or something, another way to recognize someone's wins multiple times.

Sorry you didn't make it when you really wanted, I'm sure they'll do more competitions~

I'm so sad... As if not winning the Scarf of Wondrous Wit or Red Lotus Magilite was not enough, I have to see people win the Bluebird Earrings (a unique/untradable item) twice...

It wasn't an attack. I was me, stating a fact.

It has nothing to do with "fairness". You simply did not win either contest. Some people won one, and some won both. That is the bottom of the line. And you can't really say "People wouldn't sign up if they knew they'd get the same prize." Because I assure you people would. It meant double chance of winning.

You lost and won't get the earrings. Nothing to do with fairness.

Oh, right - EU is delayed, my bad. They still have announced the winners though. I'm torn between the idea of a competition - that someone who wins regardless of intent with item still won, and the idea of waste of use - that they will have no use for a duplicate they can't actually own two of. Say a famous movie star wins and then shatters their trophy because it is their fifth one - still their right and ability to do so because due to some organization of opinion they deserved the win.

It really is up to them of course, it was just my opinion that since the rules were set out without "waste" in mind that even while unfortunate if the item is useless that it was won to be so. I don't say it as a desire to keep any item from you, just how the system was set up first seems like the way to keep it. But that their next competition could allow honorable mention of previous winners but only those who haven't "won" get the item.

I understand that is pretty downing, stay in there and try the next one .

Shougun, thank you for the encouragement. I just wanted to try and do something, I really hope the community team will respond and change this. I have already spoken with one of the people that won twice, and he said that he wants his entry to be discarded and the item be given one of the -just- 10 people that didn't get the Bluebird Earrings.
