No clothing or Accessories for Valentiones

But you can't even wear them in combat like we can in FFXIV. I'm pretty sure the game doesn't have a glamour-ish system, though let me know if I'm wrong.

Coincidentally! the game does have a glamour system now actually, adding almost a year ago , so you can wear these items in combat (Save saddly for weapons)- And forgive the rest of the post, it will be preachy... but it won't be directed at you specifically. So don't take it as such.

Also, once again, you ONLY have to pay like 5 or 3 bucks IF you missed the event and they're available to buy whenever. Oooh big deal. I think the pros outweigh the cons, especially when compared with other MMOs.

It would be just as easy to re-add those old items to an NPC in game, any of the Event NPCs that already exist during that event. It is a big deal... I know it can be worse, but as I assume an older gamer than most of you... I remember the games of the past, and I also remember that not everything had to be paid for with real money, and that this once promising practice (DLC as a whole) is being corrupted by greedy companies just looking to rip your money from you. But people eat it up... a fool and his money are soon parted, etc.

i have to ask, do none of you remember unlocking characters via doing unique or hard things in game? Remember unlocking post game content for beating the game? Remember unlocking alternate and funny costumes through Codes or finding them in game? You buy all these things now with real money. DLC, Add on content... these can be done right, and be done with basic respect for the consumers intelligence and the hard work they do for their money.

Yeah except if they weren't in the cash shop, its entirely likely these people would have NO ability to obtain these items except with MAYBE a large amount of gil to buy them off the MB.

Except before the cash shop you were able to buy all the previous event gear from NPCs for a small amount of gil.

Before the cash shop was added we had a SINGLE event repeat itself since the launch of ARR. (Moonfire Faire) And guess what - only a handful of the 2011 Cacadier uniforms were available in the 2014 event (the 2013 outfits were completely gone) and the Yukata were made available for the first time since 2012.

All the events brought back some gear from 1.0 as a reward to players who didn't get a chance to obtain that gear and it was due to fan demand. But after they did one full year of bringing back 1.0 gear, that was it. It was simply done as a reward to people who didn't get a chance to play 1.0 and were early adopters of ARR. A bonus, if you will. That's the ONLY reason gear came back.

Now that the first year is over, we'll likely not see that happen again and the ARR outfits will be either new or the old ones will be added as cash shop items, and the 1.0 outfits are gone for good.

I think everyone complaining want the events to be like WoW >.>. No thank you to the same events over and over and over again...

Everyone complaining wants new stuff being sold at the event and old stuff being sold at the npc vendor that used to exist before the cash shop started and did just that. New items with whatever minigame/token they come up with, old items being sold for a couple hundreds gil.

But hey the cash shop is good for the game because more money is being invested on it, right? lol

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, I've not had a chance to read the whole thread.

I believe the lack of new gear is due to the today announced exhausted data of the Armoire.

Recalling the Halloween, Xmas and New Years events, old items were sold on the cash shop while new ones were introduced in the event for free to all participating.

The cash shop is not stopping new items from being introduced and the old items being added there are from previous years, introducing a semi exclusive event item system which tends to be an all or nothing system in other years if you miss past events.

They do seriously need to fix their infrastructure issues however, or somehow combine the Calamity Salvager with the Armoire to alleviate data limit issues so more items can be put away.



Oh and the original FFXIV had a tradeable but exclusive system in place for all event items for the first few events and then still exclusive but non tradeable for all items after those first few. There was no vendor selling old helmets or what have you. If you missed out, you missed out. At least now if you really, really want the items you missed events for you can still get them, and we were given about a year of grace period on relaunch where event items were vendored for a pittance for anyone new. Now things seem a little more strict but not unobtainable. I don't think that's a horrible thing, aside from the dumb Armoire issue.

I started this game around 2014 April so I obviously missed the 2014 Valentione event,still,i hope the 2015 Valentione will give those outfit as reward but it seems impossible now except paying cash shop.i think SE should add the old event rewards to in-game NPC. They don't have to be ridiculously cheap like few hundreds or few thousands gil,i won't mind if they're cost hundread-thousands.OR SE can make those rewards craftable,i also won't mind if its 4 star and i have to pay few millions from marketboard .. but cash shop .. guess i have to bear the fact that i'll never get my hand of that female outfit for the rest of my life.

You make it sound as if we should be thankful that they designed a system where we have to pay more instead of just releasing new items along all the old ones every year in game... it's not like there was no other way to obtain past items and the cash shop was the only solution.
