Midgardsormr Clarification? (Spoilers)

My stance is that up until now nothing the Warrior of Light did was of their own accord. We (WoL) went from primal to primal killing one after another and doing the Scions bidding. Midgardsormr only let us live because we had Hydelyns blessing. His comment also highlights what exactly did we do with the power of the Echo and the blessings bestowed up on us.

If we remember what Iceheart said you'll realise the Scions are clueless and essentially have been dancing to the Ascians tune all along. Now with out Hydelyns protection we have to prove we are worth it.

Oh and I wish Minfilia would die. Such a useless character.

But I also believe Midgardsormr will protect the WoL in place of Hydelyn from getting tempered.
