I'll get AST, WHM (current main), and all my gatherers to 60 first. Then work on MSQ and actually enjoy it. All that should take me at least a month or so.

Seriously...
Bard to 60 immediately, via MSQ and new dungeons and stuff. Get my main ready for Alexander raiding. Everything else comes second to that.
Edit - Keep in mind y'all: BCoB wasn't accessible in 2.0 until you finished the HM primals, which needed you to complete the MSQ before even accessing those. If you are trying to jump into raiding immediately DON'T LEVEL VIA FATES UNLESS YOU ARE OUT OF STORY!!!
just a friendly reminder![]()

So far what I've thought about is getting WHM to 60 first, do story and think about other jobs what other jobs I want to get to 60 and then mess with new jobs.

Like most, I will probably level at least one job to 60 through everyone's favorite past time fates. Depending on if a new tomestone is introduced in 3.0 or 3.1 will depend on what I do next. If the new tomestone is in right away, I will attempt to max out for the week. If not, I will continue to fate grind. Possibly even level the DRK.
Well 3.0 is the usually mark when a new tome is released being every even number update.Like most, I will probably level at least one job to 60 through everyone's favorite past time fates. So expect a new Tome for the level 60 characters. Also, remember 3.0 MS may be required if you want to unlock the new dungeons for 3.0 Expert Roulette due to new 3.0 dungeons along with the other Roulette.
On topic:
My main plan has changed from level Machinist to lvl 50 to level Dark Knight to level 50 once 3.0 release before going for 3.0 MSQ.

I totally agree with you that this is the precedent we currently have. I suppose I just have a hope that players will be given some small amount of time to level before being thrown back into the weekly cap process.Well 3.0 is the usually mark when a new tome is released being every even number update.

Well with 3.0 main scenario planned to be long as 2.0 or longer than 2.0, factor in players that want to enjoy 3.0 storyline and players that will aim for one or more of the 3 new jobs on 3.0 release before going for 3.0 MSQ, there shouldn't be many people at lvl 60 capping lvl 60 tomes during the 1st month or 2nd month of 3.0 so there should be no need to rush things with a good amount of players are doing other things beyond capping their tome limits.

Pretty confident that people will be working towards capping out on week one. I see the majority of players zerging fates, much like they did when the game first launched, to get to 60 as fast as possible. Remember the +50% xp is based on your highest level. This way after they get to 60 they can go back and do all the story quests to unlock expert and start gathering the new tomestones, or go back to level other jobs. While everyone is zerging fates it seems to make sense to join them. Given that fate grinding is the fastest way to level.Well with 3.0 main scenario planned to be long as 2.0 or longer than 2.0, factor in players that want to enjoy 3.0 storyline and players that will aim for one or more of the 3 new jobs on 3.0 release before going for 3.0 MSQ, there shouldn't be many people at lvl 60 capping lvl 60 tomes during the 1st month or 2nd month of 3.0 so there should be no need to rush things with a good amount of players are doing other things beyond capping their tome limits.
This also makes me wonder about the current poetics weekly cap. Like you said, the expansion is the likely place for a new tomestone. If true, then still having a weekly cap up until the expansion makes little sense. Especially so if the loot lockout is removed from WoD.

try and figure out what the lv.51-60 crafting madness will be, determine best route, then level all crafts to 60 and start working on recipe unlocks, then start life over as a Machinist and find a boba fett glamor asap.
Well good luck with that.
The 1st month is usually just people over charging and undercutting things due to being new content items and usually the best route for marketing isn't set until around the 2nd or 3rd month once enough players have geared up and seen what new stuff is provided. Then the calculation of Supply and Demand kicks in.
