Turn into Au Ra then start on the Main Story.
Main Story is the most important part and I'm dying to know what's gonna be going on.
I'll give the new classes a try, too, of course. Astrologian and Machinist for sure - dunno about DRK.

There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.

Mess with Au Ra creation, see if I like, then Fantasia my char into one. After the first step is done, look for the DRK trainer and start my journey as a being of darkness and eventually follow the footstep of many others who rushed like madmen on day 1 through MSQ.
True, I will be behind on content, but I won't get burned out of it either...
But thinking about weekly tomestones and how that is handled... Might change my plans eventually.

definately level my bard to 60 to finish story so i can have that smexy dragon mount *o* then focus on leveling and gearing mechanist :P

The same as a lot of people: I'll play with Au'Ra creation.
Then I'll probably unlock the 3 jobs to check abilities and traits. Depending on the results, I'll level them or take my Bard to 60 for Alexander.
Unlock a flying mount and take a bunch of screenshots in the sky![]()
I'll start leveling RDM.... <sigh>
There is still hope my friend. After all Yoshi-P does want to get a Melee Mage Job into F14ARR.
Back on Topic:
I'm still in the mix between choosing Dark Knight or Machinist as my main to lvl 50 before hitting 3.0 Main Scenario. Best I can do now is gear up on Tank gear and Dex Range gear until 3.0 release so I can decide which Job I want to focus on as my main job.
So far Machinist wins my favor since I'm only average skilled in the Tanking Role currently but a few practice with Warrior is getting my skills back up a bit with Tanking Role again.
I refer to the NPCs that give the Job Quests as Job Trainers because they provide the quests that will provide the next Job Skills and allow us to obtain the Job Soulstone.

Hard to say, but I think finding the Dark Knight unlock and leveling that up will probably be first on my list. At some later point I will unlock the other two Jobs.
Few things here. There are like literally no "Job Trainers" in this game. There aren't any trainers period, as those are npcs in mmo's that you purchase/level-up your skills/abilities from hence why they are called trainers.Level and unlock the new Jobs? (Job Trainer location are unknown but since they're Job trainers it is still possible they are placed in locations within the 2.0 MS reach)
We do have side story npcs in which we get a story quest every 5 levels, however most of the time they are rarely actually "training" us. Sometimes completing a quest will give us a skill, and it depends on the Job you are as to how that might have been learned. Some job stories have you just remembering a skill from the depths of your own mind, some have you learning it through ancient texts, a few actually do have a npc teaching us the skill sometimes "passing it down", it can be learned though the spirits, though the memories of fallen warriors, mastered through actual combat, gained by making a pact. There are a number of ways we "learn or gain" an ability via job quests. Only seldom is it because the npc we talked to actually "trained" us to use it.
Though if we were talking about classes, then yeah, basically we get "trained" to learn a new skill at those early levels because we're part of the training guild and the guild master trains us.
Secondly, the 3.0 jobs won't be unlockable in 2.0 areas. It's just not going to happen, because it makes no sense. That and the fact that they are not even available unless you have the expansion just means they will be in the new areas. It doesn't even make sense to put the new job quest npcs in old zones, none whatsoever.
But back to your topic, after I get Dark Knight unlocked probably will level it to 50 and then start the new content with it and with my Summoner, then will probably work on my Dragoon from 50-60 to get the AF2 (because it looks so awesome) and then never touch Drg again unless I'm showing off. lol..
I'll level up all the jobs I have already at 50 to 60, maybe. I'll at least get my White Mage to 60 so I have a healer at 60, next to my Drk tank and Smn dps. Will probably take it somewhat slow on the new main scenario, but I cant say for sure. I'm really excited to delve deep into the new stuff so I might not be able to hold back.
Leveling up Dark Knight will definitely set me back a little bit on doing stuff, so there is that.
I'm just super excited for this expansion.

Will be doing main story while getting white mage to 60, after that probably get monk to 60, and paladin as well.. Not all that interested in the new jobs (yet) really.
Story and my bard to 60 then the rest.

Probably make an Astrologian and work on getting it to 60, whilst getting my other classes to 60, whilst doing the new content... so in short a little bit of everything!
