I recently transferred off the server due to lack of groups for Final Coil. Yes, there's a lot of friendly people on Lamia and yes, lots of social gatherings happen as well but for those that want to progress, it's extremely hit-or-miss. There's just not enough skilled players go to around and more often than not schedules often are a problem. Right now it's extremely late to try and bother with trying to raid on Lamia unless you're already part of something or have a group set up consisting of raider alts. Just cut your losses and pack up, you will be missed but at least you won't be bored anymore.

While the numbers are not entirely accurate, this website http://xivsoul.com/ is very useful for looking at population numbers and statistics between servers.

...And according to the numbers (in scale), it looks like Lamia is on the higher end of the spectrum of population.

http://luckybancho.ldblog.jp/wsurvey_en.htm?world=Lamia has more recent data. Just went through the server list and out of all NA/EU servers, lamia appears to have the 20th "highest" population out of 32 servers. We're sorta kinda alive!

I played on lamia for a year. I thought it was normal...It wasn't until I moved to Balmung that I realized what a ghost town Lamia was. There are always party finders up for Balmung, instead of Lamia's hours of nothing. There would be times in Mor Dhona that myself and only 3 other people would be there. It might not seem empty to some, but when you end up playing on a real high population server, you wonder how Lamia hasn't been merged with another server yet.

You must be on when the populations is down because I have a 20 person wait queue to log on every day.
