    Crafting Artisan's File - First OH Attempt

    Hello. I'm mostly prepared to begin crafting OH Artisan tools. However whenever I search 3star rotations, every reddit or such I find is talking about rotations for token/turn-in items or 40 dura.

    Right now, I'm looking to craft my first Artisan's OH tool, and I'm just wanting to be as prepared as possible b/c I hate the idea of blowing up a weeks worth of ixali tribe quests.

    Also, I'd hate to end up with a NQ when just a little more research I could have HQ'd.

    My current BSM stats: craft-414, con-381, GP-351 (before food).

    I also plan on popping crafting FC actions +10 to both craft and control.

    Anyone have some links, or first-hand experience they can share about this stage?

    Or am i just overthinking it, and it's not that difficult?

    First,
    http://www.ffxivcrafter.com/crafting...ep=selectclass

    Use this to model your sequence. Namely how you plan to get the progress done.
    In general it is better to pre-plan your progress such that you can finish with 1-2 CS2's WITHOUT Ingenuity 1/2.
    This lets you use a CS2 to fish for a condition, and lets you go into a finishing rotation with 78 CP (SH1-GS-BB) or 96 CP (SH1-GS-Inno-BB) and 20 CP if you need 1 CS2, or 30 Dur to do 2 CS2's, using 1 to fish.

    With your 414+10 = 424 craftsmanship, you can do the following... assuming you have everything at 50.
    SH2 - 3x PbP - RS, that'll leave you at 435/445, so 1 CS2 to finish.
    Or
    SH2 - 2x PbP - RS, and 2 CS2's. Thats 15 less CP, 10 more durability, 1 extra chance to fish, depending on Inno use.

    Personally I've found that 3-4 star crafting is about conditional rotations.
    For instance: (Doing a BB-CS2x2 finisher)
    IF Dur = 30 AND CP >= 78 -> Do finisher.
    IF Dur >= 30 AND CP >= 195 -> Master's Mend - SH2 - HT's till 30 Dur, hit ToTs.
    IF Dur = 20 or 10 AND CP >= 288 -> Master's Mend 2 - SH2 - HT's - SH2 - HT's till 30 Dur.

    That kind of logic works pretty well. Just keep hitting ToTs, refresh CZ at least once. Twice is questionable unless you end up with a LOT of ToTs letting the 1st and 2nd tick down well before the finisher.

    It's the same as any regular 3* craft.

    If you can HQ Wolfram Ingots from NQ materials, you will have absolutely no problem HQ`ing these offhands.

    You can start with some HQ materials to help a little.
    Aim for 9-10 stacks of Inner Quiet and buff as much as you can (Great Strides, Ingenuity 2, Innovation) for Byregot and you are sure to reach 100% hq chance.

    I use Piece by Piece once + 2 Rapid Synth + 1 Careful Synth II for progress.

    www.ffxivcrafter.com to calculate what is needed to finish your progress, you want to make sure you only need one CSII to finish the craft in the end.

    This is the best rotation I have tried so far for 3 star/ 3.9 star token/ 4 star items, you can use Hasty touches about 12+/- times, but you will need to figure out during the WN II whether or not you need to use ToT.
    (I have been using it to get all 8 master book II. 8 off hands and all 4 star artisan's gears)

    Edited: GSM rotation would be different, since you will need to choose 2 out of these 3 skills (RS, SH II, Rclaim)

    Thank you!

    ROFL guys thank you for the advice but omg so I had blown a PbP so meant to Reclaim. Though before breaking it I wanted to test SH2 + ING2 + RS to see how far that'd push the progress. It was by 159, nearly completing the synth. Then I was going to spam HT to blow it up.. Hit CS2 on accident instead...

    That CS2 completed the synth.

    Was only 12% chance to HQ.

    It did.

    I died.

    I am glad someone posted this thread. I'm getting my sixth Sealant tomorrow and I am going to need a whole lot of strength.

    Also, Roe blacksmiths represent!
