Map not displaying

Since I started playing, I thought the Map was a little difficult to understand. Till 1 day my brother (who has been playing this longer than I have) told me that my map isn't displaying everything. I started as a trial account and have since renewed it twice. Since then my map still remains the same with very little things displaying on the map like what's at the location & name of the place/location.

Have you explored the entire area? The map is covered by what can best be described as a fog of war, meaning that places you haven't been to will not show up.

no it's not the fog of war. That I understand. My Brother and cousin (who also plays) says that Names of cities and shops suppose to show on the map with the Icons. Not entirely sure what it looks like on their maps but Places that I have already been to is suppose to display a lot on my map once i'm in the city. That's what they told me. I've rage quit few times because I thought the map was made like that without enough information of where to go or what's in the city and all.

Ok, so I think I've managed to recreate what you are experiencing.

With the map, there are some icons on the side, one of these looks like an eye, the last icon before the zoom scroll bar. This button toggles the visibility of things on the map like city names, shop locations, fate locations etc. (see picture). Try clicking this a few times, maybe it got hit by accident somehow. In the picture the icon has been clicked so that only the text of places shows up

Wow Thank you! That solved everything! Now I can see all the labelling! Sorry, it's only 2 months i've been playing but only get like 1 hour a day due to work so i'm still noobish here and there. ^.^"
