    Keeper of the Lake - Final Boss

    I really like this dungeon and have completed it several times. I just wanted to feedback that if you end up with 2 BLMs for the final Boss, it's a nightmare. It just goes on forever because your casts are constantly interrupted and you're constantly moving. I'm not really worried about the difficulty of the mobs but it's incredibly irritating and drawn out if you end up with 2 BLMs. Even 2 BLMs of decent iLevel because their DPS is always being interrupted. I don't think the difficulty of the mobs needs to be adjusted but perhaps some consideration for BLMs in terms of the constant placing of targetted AOEs.

    I've done this on BLM and SCH and I like it but the irritation level is high for BLMs for that final boss.

    I find if I stand in the very center, I don't have to move too much... I mean, obviously there's still a lot of movement, it just seems less to me.

    There's a lot less movement if you stand close to the center, either to the left or right to avoid the repeated line aoes. His turmoil attacks only attack certain halves of the arena, so if you position yourself right, you shouldn't have to take more than one step. There's still movement, but much less.

    You ought to have a go at it with 250ms pings. It's a complete abortion.

    You just need better positioning the AoE's are pretty consistent so you can use background references and stuff to make sure you only have to make one movement. For targeted stuff you just need to move only just outside the AoE so it's a quick couple of steps. Some people try to compensate for lack of quick reactions by running around a lot which isn't healthy

    Speaking as a White Mage, who still has cast times to contend with, it's annoying but perfectly manageable. The AoE patterns are easy enough to recognize, and sure, you'll have some casts interrupted, but it's not that bad.

    Now they do need to remove the debuff that seems to get put on all melee DPS in this fight that makes them want to eat EVERY SINGLE AoE like it's candy.

    Thus interrupting activating the shield generator and causing a full party wipe. Yeah, I've had that one happen too.

    It'd be nice if DPS always focused on the Astraea so I didn't have to get them cleaved in the process of getting the canister down in time.

    It's a good fight but Tanks turning the dragon is a big no no, although in many instances I as a tank have had to rush off to do a job the a DPS was supposed to do such as free the trapped DPS player or something.

    No matter the role there are always those who simply don't pay attention to anything but the target they hit.
