If you don't know how to play and can't perform adequately, either through mechanics, DPS, HPS etc, you have absolutely no right whatsoever to try to jump into groups that want to succeed, and you definitely don't have the right to tell those people otherwise.

This much I understand, I have no problem teaching people mechanics. The problem is the fact that a parser will always be used in a malicious manner by those who are of the elitist community, no matter how much you slice it. You can sit here and argue that "It's a good resource for gathering information." This much IS true and I have no problem with it doing JUST that. But when someone then takes that information and broadcast it to 7 other people in front of them and calls them out on poor performance THERE is your problem. That is what I am shooting at here and I'm guessing SE is too. It becomes a tool for harassment instead of helping.
