Ding ding ding, we have a winner.
Adding a parser doesn't=endorsing that behavior.
Adding a parser and banning or punishing the players who do that=problem solved

Thats what im thinking too, if se will add in game parsers im pretty sure they will make it a bannable offense if you harass someone, i think people are just too embarrass that others can see their dps.
The judgement that "playstyle differences" are a valid reason to vote dismiss someone from Duty Finder already create this environment, and already allow PC players using parsers to silent-kick people for under-performance.
video games are bad
There are no facts because parsers aren't allowed, we can't know for sure what will happen when they do. We're all speculating, please don't act like your opinions is more valid than mine. My fears are just as grounded as your hopes.
BTW, I am not afraid of anything because I run raids and ex primals with my static or friends, so I would hardly be affected. But I do see people saying how many people are being rude to them in DF or PF and this would hardly make things better. And this isn't even taking into consideration the amount of people who don't even know how parsers work, or what a class' common DPS is supposed to be and will just copy/paste anything they find in PF without a clue on what it even means (I've seen that too).
We all know it's not that easy. It takes ages to take action. And then you report them and move on.
I don't know what is the quality of your GM experiences but for me, it was always quick and awesome.
Being on Ragnarok since 1 year now and my FC had to report harassment from a neighbour once (2 weeks being harassed daily), we were 8 to report the problem. Shortly after the report, GM poped on us, talked, and started his/her inquest on the said guy.
GM was really helpful and full of humours. From what I understand the GM talked to the guy and gently but strongly warned him (even though GM was not allowed to tell us the said actions).
Whole problem solved in around 1 hour. And it was not an exceptional case, just look at this forum, at least once a month or every 2 months, someone is posting thankful feedback about the incredible good quality of GM service.
I've had great experiences with non harassment matters, always quick and efficient, but I can't say I was completely satisfied on how the couple of reports I sent were handled. It may have just been bad luck though, I'll give you that. In any case, I think this is one of those situations where preventing the fact from happening in the first place is better than dealing with it afterwards, especially if the price to pay is only a little inconvenience for console players (who, in most cases, can always ask a friend who plays on PC).
I don't like that you think my inconvenience is okay, and perfectly acceptable.I've had great experiences with non harassment matters, always quick and efficient, but I can't say I was completely satisfied on how the couple of reports I sent were handled. Protecting players from harasment is far more important, I don't care if it makes it harder to see how much damage you are dealing.
