That's what I hear all the time, some of you might not use it for bad, if its anyone I am talking about or the ones who should blame for people like me not liking it.
Is the ones who miss use the tool for wrong.

Tell me what is a parser going to do for you?
You going to tell a person what to do, how to do their job and if they tell you no and stop telling them how to play and you begin to down play them and decide to kick.
Because that will happen and of course they'll report and GM for it and what then you'll get GM jailed and warned not to do it again.
But of course you will and try to be nicer about it, though you'll end up bumping into someone who doesn't like parsers and knows where this is heading and GM's you and you get temp banned for a while.
Doesn't seem worth it to me.
I know I wouldn't like to hear people breathing down my neck about my damage or how I play that gets on my nerves and really people should shut their mouth and play their own damn game.
You do not pay anyones bill to make that choice for them.
So like I said whats the parser going to do for you, you see your own damage but we all know you'll use it on others and of course your big mouth would get you in trouble in the end.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you: exhibit A.
I do my job in fights, I was just giving you my opinion I don't need someone telling me my job when I know it.
Ive ran into people who've done this only to not dodge attacks, cure or do their own job and end up wiping everyone.
It is as I said shut up and play your own job.
My last comment on this subject.
I know you'll comment try to come back with a witty come back for my comments that try to make me sound like I am the bad one.
Though I am only stating the obvious that parser's are only used to attack others or make them feel like they have a right to brag or talk down to others who don't meet their standards.
They want SE to agree to a parser which then gives them the power to kick because SE says its fine to use a parser which I believe is why they are asking for one to begin with (its my opinion)
Anyways that is all I have to say on this subject.
Also don't make it seem like I am one of those people who slack in the runs I do my job perfect I just don't pick on people who mess up and those are the ones I am defending.
So, if I level a character in Cactuar, then follow you into as many dungeons as I can only to /afk /follow for the duration of the dungeon, you would shut your mouth and play your own damn game, because it's not your bill to make that choice for me? >_>

See, this is you taking it to the extreme, because in your example, you are not playing the game. and on top of that , you are harassing the other players in doing what you are giving an example of. Stop being a dick. My question to all these people that are saying a parser is "needed" in this game...have you stopped playing the game? Actually, i have a better idea SE...make a server thats for parser only and send all the elites and etc there..like a hardcore server....they can play with their own kind, yell at each other, and etc. But of course, you would only need one server for that group.

No, I've become better at the game. And to all the people afraid of being told how to play, or whatever else...I don't have a parser, but when I started doing Second Coil back in 2.3, I was parsing only barely at 300 as a DRG. When I was told that, and was presented with a new rotation, I accepted it, instead of refusing help. I wasn't serious about the end-game, but why would I refuse advice on how to become better? What sense does that make, at all? Because I don't want to improve? Just because you 'can' stay at passable levels doesn't mean that constructive criticism is bad. Most people who use parsers either use it for personal betterment, progression, or competition on a personal level, and if they use it to try and make you better, that isn't a bad thing.See, this is you taking it to the extreme, because in your example, you are not playing the game. and on top of that , you are harassing the other players in doing what you are giving an example of. Also- The mental image you should get is a child who has a parent telling them that if they would just switch up how they do x task, they might have an easier time, and that child pouting because their parent offered advice. Because that's what it sounds like when people say that they're fine playing the game they want to, and they don't want others telling them how to play. Change your mindset. Instead of looking at that as someone telling you how to play the game, look at it as an open hand, or invitation, to begin fully understanding what you're experiencing. There's a blacklist feature for a reason, people who would harass you with this.
You need a parser if you're going to do end-game content, and want to complete it without wasting time. You already have to work through learning mechanics, placement, and many other things. The last thing you want to deal with is someone not pulling their own weight, or missing marks for DPS without knowing it.

It is me taking it to the extreme, because the justification of "you don't pay anyone's bill" is no justification at all. I may not be paying the bill of the person wiping us with low dps, but they aren't paying the bills of the 7 people whose time they're wasting. By the logic of people asking for no parsers, it's just fine for one person to waste the time of 7 others, but god forbid you ask them to step up their dps, because you don't pay their subscription.
