    Server transferers... Questions!

Hi, me and my husband are looking for a new server to go to. We're coming from Leviathan and while it's nice here, we're looking for something different.

We are WAR and SCH, around ilevel 105-110 who would like to raid end game content, including doing pony farms and other raids, and wanted to know about the following:
    - How are your hunts organised?
    - What is it like for raiding? Is pugging acceptable? Or do you generally need to be in a FC to get things done?
    - What is the general community like? Are they friendly? Does no-one talk?
    - How many plots are available for housing?

In terms of the hunts, as we come from Leviathan, we know about the system where you drop in and out of a LS to receive info and nothing else is disclosed. We were on Exodus before, people called hunts out to FCs and within a variety of LS. We're wondering where on the scale Behemoth lands.

Hey Lilium. I've been on Behemoth since launch and I'll do my best to answer your questions. Hopefully I can provide the information you need!

    - Hunts are loosely organized based off of Linkshells. There are several hunting linkshells on the server and getting into one will get you the information you're looking for as far as what is up, when, and where. As far as organizing around pulls and such, well people will wait until their patience runs out. That being said I've seen less and less "early pull" drama on this go around of hunts.

    - Pugs can definitely get things done on Behemoth. I've been part of a few that have finished extremes. I've been part of SCoB farming runs that go well. You'll always have your parties who are just not going to complete content, but typically I have had good luck. There are several linkshells organized around getting groups together and doing endgame content that could be very helpful. Joining an FC that does the content will typically be your best method of completing difficult content, but the PUG scene is active enough that I feel you could get your goals completed.

    - The community on Behemoth is actually my favorite part of being on Behemoth. I've made a lot of friends across various linkshells, free companies, and other places. I am kind of a social butterfly in that aspect and I really enjoy being involved with the community. My FC along with several of our friends on the server host large scale community events on a reasonably regular schedule. The attendance we see at them has steadily increased and I have to say this is what makes the community so fantastic to me. They come out just to share an evening with the rest of the server and have a good time. I can provide you with more information on those if need be, but you can check out our upcoming event called the Festival of Frost here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ver-Wide-Event . Other than that, I feel like Mor Dhona is usually talkative and Limsa is the same. Outside of that things are typically somewhat quieter.

    - Housing plots are going to be somewhat of a problem. A lot of them are taken. Lavender Beds is reasonably full, but there are still a few smalls available in the subdivisions. The Mist has a few more plots available but mostly medium and large. The Goblet has a good number of varied spots open. So that is definitely something to consider.

Hopefully I've answered your questions, but if you want any more information let me know and I'd be glad to provide it!

Hi! Thanks for the long and explanatory and detailed answer. This definitely sounds like the place for us =)

Ok, after being on this server for a few days I can say that the description of the place doesn't exactly meet the reality of it...

Hunt LS are absolutely dead, and early pulls are far too frequent. IF something is even broadcast, it is dead by the time I can teleport. This is far worse than our original problem on Exodus...

Community is nonexistant as far as I can tell, a few nice people here and there. Can't complain in general about that aspect

Haven't seen much going on pug-wise. PF does have quite a bit of activity but haven't seen many T# going on...

I'd like to know what LS you're a part of? Maybe I'm just not in the right ones

Also note that Behemoth definitely has certain peak times for hunts etc.

The community is definitely here. Wait until the next server event run by Ionne's guild to really judge this.
I will say Behemoth is smaller than some of the large servers, so sometimes it feels like there isn't a big community. Especially during off times and lulls in content.

As for pugging I'm not really sure since I've been in a raiding guild since launch. What day did you transfer? Most of the pugging is either done early in the week from what I know of just like other MMOs

Hunt: Well, I can confirm that all LS are almost dead since people who do hunts all use certain guides now, at least as far as I can tell.

Raiding: In terms of clearing contents, static>few raiding ls>pugs in PF. PSadly on Behemoth, you gotta know the right people, right ls, or right fc. I know there are people who aren't in static have cleared T13, just "pugging", but they are most in a linkshell together, and the community pretty much knows which people have the capability now. .....yea sorry I don't know much about other servers but raiding community is pretty bad for pugs imo on Behemoth. Dunno. IRL network is hard enough already and you gotta do this in game too :'(

Community: Most people got ls and fc they talk to, no one really talks in shout. Of course, if you say something funny interesting enough there will be people answering you. For example, people who used to hang out in Mor Dhona a lot probably remembers a guy called Swee- *oops I meannnnn nothing
