    Playstation Vita and FFXIV

    Hi Folks,

I have asked around and done research on this, but I wanted to tap the community at large to see if anyone could hand down some real knowledge on this subject.

I am looking at purchasing a Vita, primarily to play FFXIV when I am not at home. I understand that I will need a strong Wi-Fi connection to my Vita in order to stream my PS4 to my Vita screen at both my house and where-ever I am. Can anyone confirm for me that it is actually feasible to do this? If I am not able to reasonably play some FFXIV when I am at a hotel traveling, at the office late waiting for traffic, or at the gym with a great wi-fi connection, the other benefits of the Vita aren't really worth it to me.

I know I won't be doing coil or X modes on a vita, but would I reasonably be able to do things like gathering, crafting, and running easy dungeons/doing fates/spirit bonding/dailies/etc?

Thanks in advance for any input!

I love playing on my vita. Lag is much greater so I wouldn't do any difficult content with it. I did titan HM on it the other night for shingles and was murdered by weights because of the lag. Great for dungeons/dailies/crafting though. it is great at home too when I have to share the tv.

It does work, I have tested it.

If you configure your PS4 properly, VITA can turn on the PS4 through the internet and you can play FF14 on your VITA even if you are miles away from your PS4.

I did only "soft" content such as gardening/gathering/crafting/beast tribes, I wouldn't dare doing Final Coil on VITA though xD

I play it on vita weekly when I go to my doctors visits. The connection is just 54g wifi and not that great and it works flawlessly to my house which is on broadband. I have extensive experience with the application almost daily as I run dungeons and trials with the vita and pstv as well. There are times when it pixelates cause of congestion for me but it does not seem to rubberband or lag. It might on a different connection but I have not tested that so cannot say. I love my vita and think it is a good complement to the game.
