FFXIV Minion Guide - A new site for minion and mount collectors!

Hey there everyone! I'm the owner of http://minionguide.com, a site to help all of those minion and mount owners figure out what they need and how to get them, as well as providing information on those minions for those of you who are interested in their lore or descriptions without wanting to actually get some of the rarer minions.

Great site but it's depressing how many of the cool minions cannot be obtained anymore and so many can be "won" only by buying stuff =(

This mentality defeats the purpose of trying to collect the whole set since it's not possible anymore.

I agree that it'd be nice if buyable minions were obtainable in-game; perhaps from a limited-time event, and then later put in the cash shop for those who missed the event. It'd encourage people to pay the monthly subscription while not cheapening their collections.

Nice site... But depressing to see how many I'm missing, and I'm not even a minion collector

I have to say, I prefer the cash shop minions to the rare ones like bluebird etc, because I don't have time to grind either maps, nor gil due to work. On the other hand, also due to work I don't mind paying a bit for minions. It would however be nice if the cash shop exclusives would be available in-game as well eventually.

I've found that it's better just to farm and buy these from the MB. I hate relying on RNG; it ends up being super frustrating.

It is to note that you can't get the Dalamud Minion anymore, as the code expired on December 31st at <<<<<NOON PST>>>> the noon PST part not really made clear, so I lost on the minion by trying to claim it at 8PM EST on December 31st. SE can't retro-actively give it to you either.
So, Dalamud Minion is now an unobtainable minion.
