In-game Explanation for Arrows

The secret truth is, Bards in FFXIV don't shoot arrows at all. They just pull their bowstrings back and dry-fire them, singing all the while. The damage they deal is actually psychological - the enemies are so pained by their ill treatment of their bows AND their awful singing that they just stab themselves every time you "fire an arrow." Any arrow you see on your screen is just a shared delusion because you really want there to be arrows. But, sadly, there simply aren't.

...these things are just assumed to be part of your downtime, and carry a negligible cost.

Since gil devalued to a tenth of its previous value, that sounds right --- I'm guessing Archers can just retrieve their arrows in the field too.

Any real reasoning can be stated to one of two things...

That's what I feared. Oh well, I was just curious if I missed Luciane's lecture. Or she was just secretly rich and gave fledgling Archers millions of gil to spend on arrows.

I like the idea of Archers getting a free courier moogle though.
