    Switch to 5-mans to Alleviate DPS Queues

    Would help tremendously to squeeze another DPS into dungeons.

    Sure, it was a neat idea to do 4-man but it severely hurts DPS queue times*.

    Older Dungeons can remain 4-man so they don't have to go back and make changes to them

    *for a mass majority of cases.

    I quite enjoy the smaller group sizes.

    Better solution: allow us to queue with the Chocobo companions as members. Let a DPS run a tank Chocobo, it'd make things harder too, as the AI doesn't replace a player perfectly

    If they made 5 man dungeons to alleviate DPS queues, then after a couple of weeks there would be people asking for 6 man dungeons and then 7 man dungeons, etc, etc, until we finally reached a point where there would no longer be any long queues for DPS...

    I think 4 man dungeons are nice because you can notice your contribution more easily. The more DPS you have, the less noticeable is your own contribution to the fight.

    I can agree with this. It would be a good move for future dungeons to have the 1:1:3 composition ratio, allowing people to play their preferred roles without waiting for hours. Either that or keep adding more tank jobs that people might want to use.

    I also agree with this. 4 ppl are too low of a number. 5 or even 6 with 4 dds would make things much easier to get into ques.

    Until they add drk.. then it is will be dps needed for everything

    This is a FF MMO not a Romancing Saga MMO. When have we had 5 man parties in Final Fantasy? There might have been one game, but the majority of the games have been three man parties or four man parties.

    I suppose I can see the desire to increase the party size to five if they do plan on adding some type of actual support class/job to the game. Honestly, bard is barely a true support class.

    The fact 8, 16 to 24 man parties/alliances already exist right here in XIV makes this a rather empty point. frankly I've never felt XIV should be too bound by the customs of offline FF titles. It already does things so differently because of it being an MMO.

    I'd like to think 6 man would have been nice, like in XI, 1 Tank, 1 healer, 4 DD, would make DD Queues a bit better if ya ask me, but as of right now the game is built around 4 man, and I don't see them rebalancing that any time soon... though I would like if going forward they did more 5/6 man dungeons, if only to shake up things and add a little bit more variety to the dungeon scene.

    To be fair, then SE will have to add a swapping mechanic into ffxiv, where the reserve people will be sitting there just to watch their comrades fight.
