Linkpearl Radio

What if we had a Linkpearl radio. It would be very much like the radio on Pokemon Gold.
When you turn on the Linkpearl radio, another chat window would appear. Using that window you could tune to different channels. The channels would be like the ticker on a news program, displaying the latest news from various sources.

Possible channels include

1 Square-Enix live: a news channel that would broadcast translated
producers letters and other news from the devs.

2 Eorzea Market: An up-to-date news feed of the latest bizarre prices
in various Markets.

3 The Lodestone: come here to learn about what festivals and other
activities are going on.

4 Patches: On this channel we tell you what we've changed in
the latest patch.

The news would come only in text. they would rerun the same news until they updated to the currant news.

I know that the devs have bigger fish to fry, So this is just meant to be something neat to think about.

This would be pretty neat to have in-game. There are people (like my Girlfriend) who don't bother reading the patch notes or reading anything on the lodestone. This would help out a lot seeing as how text commands seem to be the hardest to get familiar with, but are indeed very helpful.

After the producers letters are broadcast, they could have a contest.
Anyone who wanted to participate would send a question to Naoki Yoshida.
If your question was randomly picked, Naoki Yoshida (or one of the DEVs) would answer the question. Of course they would have to have a translator, probably one of the guys who translates the Producers letters now. But they wouldn't have to reply right away, they could wait two weeks and reply in the next Producers letter.

would be neat, though id rather that with a chatlog like FFXI's, i miss the giat chatbar that took up the bottem of the screen...was so nice.

either way until they can (for me) at least let me make my chat bar a solid color and let me change text size, i would end up missing it too much. Maybe more like an ingame newspaper you can read at a stand or in your personal space?

As for music, yah that would work and id defnitly use it.
