Coerthas in Heavensward

I'm given to understand the region will be expanded for the expansion. However, judging by 1.0 era maps, the Lowland zones would be located in-between the current zone transitions to Coerthas Central Highlands.

Does this mean that in 3.0, North Shroud will have you travel through Eastern Lowlands to reach the Observatorium, and Revenant's Toll will exit to the Central Lowlands?

I don't think so. I examined some of the maps, wondering the same thing myself. Something that isn't quite clear from the 1.0 maps is just how long the "tunnels" in between the zone sections were. They spaced things out pretty heavily, and when placed against the 2.0 maps, leave a bit of a buffer in between the various zones where additional zones can easily squeeze in.

They might add in additional zone connections from North Shroud to the Easter Lowlands, but there's no reason to sever the existing connection.

Well, in 1.xx mor dhona was double the size of what it is now and the current mor dhona is the northern half of a doughnut shaped map. If they were to add the lower half of mor dhona back in, it doesn't make much sense to let players skip southern mor dhona by foot..
