    Suggestions to improve hunts

    • Increase Hunt mob HP - it should be close to 10 times what it is now. Currently most hunt mobs (at least on Hyperion) die in about 10 seconds. Why can't the HP scale according to how many players are engaging it? I'd like to see an S-Rank Hunt Mob take a few minutes to bring down, if being zerged, especially ones on such a long timer.
    • Increase Mechanics. Give the Hunts AoE Knockbacks, Petrification, AoE DPS reduction, Fear, AoE Confusion, Reflect etc. -- make the fights last longer and more entertaining! Scale severity to the amount of people engaging the mob (or in vicinity).
    • Make Max Seals reward easier to obtain. Because of how quickly mobs die, it is hard to get a gold rating to attain full Seals. Please scale the requirements for gold rating to make it easier for players who are engaging in a zerg.

    So with the 2.5 update, everyone is partaking in hunts now and many players are getting frustrated, not being able to take part in killing a mob. There are some players on servers now that are pulling very early, just to grief other players who are zoning in.

    Jokes aside, we all agree that the community in general would be better sans griefing, whether it's the hunts, dungeoneering or anything else: myself, I'll take it on the chin and move on.

    In any way, my guess is that we just have to wait for a few more people to get their carbons this way for the situation to become manageable again, simply that.

    For now, the situation is oftentimes the one Damanexor described: you may have been scouring a zone to seek a mark, but once it pops, it's highly likely it will be down before your chocobo can say "kweh".

    Given that invites on the fly are next to impossible to handle in this situation (usually people are still running towards the mark or already going at it, not to mention the lag spikes from larger groups) preformed parties are de rigueur if you plan to hold hunting sessions at all.

    And we can still meet new and interesting (and capable) people through other content.

    Aside from Alexandrite, what exactlly is it that people are supposed to be able to get from seals that has caused all this nonsense? I see no carboncoat or carbontwine or encrypted tomestones, in the Hunt vendors list. Just the alexandrite...

    500 seals for an "Unstained Mark Log", then go another npc trade 4 Log for a carboncoat or 6 Log for a carbontwine ^^;

    That's a possibility, of course.
    Seals would still retain their usefulness - be it for glamour gear, crafting materials, mid-range Company equipment, buying ventures, house apparel and such - while moving 'twines and coats away would also serve to promote WoD (something players couldn't mindlessly zerg their way through, as well).

    I agree with this. But however people are all in a tizzy over hunts. It's your blood pressure rising. Honestly I am sick of the crying, etc since we are all so 'entitled' to the best gear available. I am in between casual/hardcore and really I don't care if I get twine. I can slowly work my way to FCOB. Hunting? Yeah I don't want to see the people yelling in shout over who pulled early or people that take their sweet time getting there. Groups who are full and are waiting for other groups together are being respectful. This whole pissing match over hunts is because we feel entitled to get the same gear as everyone else. That's it in a nutshell. You want it. Work for it.

    More Suggestions

    Here are some more solutions:
    1. Let players police their server. Show in chatlog system message about who pulls a hunt withing say distance and let players be blacklisted from this entry and from player search.
    2. Reduce the relative value of hunts. You can: Put Carbontwine in WoD or weekly CT quest. Give more seals for dailies. Have unstained mark logs randomly drop from daily/weekly hunts.
    3. Fix hunt hp. Return hunt hp to previously raised amount; or when a hunt monster is aggroed, roughly poll the number of players nearby and and base monster HP on a ballpark of the number of players.
